Brett good to see you here.
Unions forever.
yes, welcome WFP.
at this point I’m going to have to launch a congressional hearing about Alf.
I announced a bill for the first time on this app, and a reporter @metzger.bsky.social saw the skeet. Coverage of our people over parking bill - and coverage of the skeets.
so glad that urbanists and transit nerds are making it onto this app.
I’ve been told this as well
So the bill has been noticed to the house members already and dropping next week officially on house floor.
Do we like….
People over Cars Act?
Homes for People not Cars Act?
People over Parking Act?
I’m taking ideas!
p.s. my staff has no idea I’m naming bills on bluesky lol

basically mandatory parking dramatically raises costs of building housing. We are in a housing crisis and our planet needs us to also build more dense and walkable/bikable communities. Also encourages public transit and sustainable planning development. Housing people over cars, always.
yup and working with ca yimby on this also - going to go one step further than CA law also.
sure. email Sara.Guerrero@mail.house.gov and she will set up 👍🏽
probably shouldn’t announce this on this app but my comms director isn’t on, so for all interested I’m submitting a bill in the U.S. House that eliminates parking minimums across the country around transit hubs.
You guys are doing great!

Alignment stats consider only votes where a clear yes/no majority existed for the legislator's party. Cross-party marks divergence where the vote matched the opposite party majority. ↔ indicates cross-party divergence.
