TONIGHT: @robertgarcia.bsky.social joins @lawrenceodonnell.msnbc.com on The #LastWord at 10pm ET.
I’m looking forward to repping Orange County. The seat is solid blue, has over D+10 registration and Kamala Harris won it by over 13 points.
Excited to represent Long Beach, Signal Hill, Avalon, Seal Beach, Huntington Beach, Newport Beach, Costa Mesa & South Santa Ana.
Absolutely.
I love my current congressional district, but I understand the stakes. Democracy is on the line. When this new map is approved by voters, I look forward to running in the new 42nd district, made up of my hometown of Long Beach, coastal OC, Costa Mesa & South Santa Ana. Let’s go!
I’m 100% behind our Governor @gavinnewsom.bsky.social. This is an emergency and we must respond to Texas.
California is stepping up. Who’s next?
As the new Democratic leader of the Oversight Committee, I'm committed to fighting for a country that takes on corruption, puts people over profits, and helps make life more affordable for everyone. Proud to share my vision and our work ahead.

"This is how Donald Trump is going to steal the next election."
@robertgarcia.bsky.social warns the GOP gerrymander power-grab is a crisis for democracy and goes way beyond Texas.
Donald Trump is the most corrupt President in American history.

🚨 @robertgarcia.bsky.social: "We've been waiting for Comer to get the [Epstein] subpoena out. Of course, Republicans didn't want to do this, but we forced that vote. And now the subpoena is out. The full files, any documents, anything that the DOJ has - we are now going to be in possession of it."
🚨The Epstein Files subpoena is out! The subpoena, that Oversight Democrats forced Republicans to vote on, has been issued.
We have asked for the files by August 19. We are going to end this White House cover-up.
Hey Texas Republicans, we are not playing games here in California.
You try to rig the congressional map, and we will hit you harder. You can count on it.
There’s a cover-up happening at the White House.
After years of promising to release the Epstein files, Donald Trump completely flipped. It's time to get the full files and release them to the public.
Kamala Harris has served our state as Attorney General, U.S. Senator, and Vice-President. We could not be more grateful.
Excited about her hitting the road and traveling the country to help us flip the House and win back Congress. Let’s go!
I spoke with Andry Romero.
Oversight Dems have asked Chairman Comer to get the Epstein files from the DOJ within 30 days of the subpoena. And we agree, Ghislaine Maxwell will not get to dictate the terms of her testimony. Not on our watch.
I just spoke with Andry Hernández Romero and offered our support and assistance.
He was grateful to all who have advocated on his behalf and those who shared his story. He spoke of the horrific conditions in CECOT and the real trauma and violence he experienced. I’ll have more in the days ahead.
Donald Trump is ripping healthcare away from millions and giving tax breaks to billionaires.
And the Epstein files are part of his corruption and lies. We won’t stop until we release the files.
🚨 We just won a forced subpoena of the Epstein files 8-2 in our @oversightdemocrats.house.gov subcommittee. This will force Chairman Comer to issue the subpoena. This is an enormous win by Oversight Democrats.
We are going to keep talking about the Epstein files until Donald Trump releases them. He’s betrayed the American people.
We have been in touch with Andry Hernández Romero’s legal team and are grateful he is alive and are engaged with both the State Department and his team.
