In New Mexico, more than 2 out of 3 kids receive healthcare from Medicaid or CHIP. Trump and Republicans’ big bad bill gutted $1 trillion from a program that funds mental health care for these programs, leaving our children without vital care.
Medicaid? Record cuts.
SNAP? Record cuts.
ACA premium tax credits? Gone.
But don’t worry, Trump is taking $1.8 billion of your tax dollars and giving it to…people who beat up cops.
Since Republicans’ Big Bad Bill cut SNAP funding, over 700,000 children in the US have lost benefits, including over 9,000 New Mexico kids.
Republicans have made it clear that they care more about giving tax cuts to billionaires than making sure our children are fed.
On Memorial Day we honor those who gave their lives to defend our freedoms and democracy. We remember the sacrifices brave New Mexicans made and honor the families, loved ones, and communities who carry that sacrifice with them every day.
Albuquerque continues to lead with investments in accessible, high-quality parks and open space. Thanks to @trustforpublicland.bsky.social for highlighting the impact parks have on health, community, and economic growth in the 2026 #ParkScore report.
Happy anniversary, Organ Mountains-Desert Peaks National Monument!

Chaco Canyon holds deep cultural, historical, and spiritual significance.
It’s now been named one of America’s most endangered places as the Trump administration actively works to undo its protections.
Everything this administration is doing is moving the needle in the wrong direction on energy costs.
The fight to protect the Boundary Waters isn't over. Thank you to Tribal leaders from Minnesota and Canada for visiting with me to discuss how we can continue the fight to protect such a special place for future generations.
Is this what he meant by "The Art of the Deal"?
Trump promised lower prices on Day One, but prices keep going up. Whether it’s his illegal tariffs or his war in Iran, Trump is costing you more every day–and he doesn’t care.
Today marks 61 years of Head Start. In that time, they have served more than 40 million children – including countless kids and their families here in New Mexico. Here’s to many more years of investing in our future by investing in our kids. Happy Birthday, Head Start!
Senate Republicans want to use your tax dollars to fund Trump's billion dollar ballroom at a time when the cost of everything is going up. I just successfully fought back their first attempt to do that.
It takes a “genius” like Elon Musk to chainsaw New Mexico’s economy, chase the most knowledgeable and talented people out of our federal agencies and STILL not save a dime of taxpayer money. Thanks Trump! If this is winning…?
Mike is right. New Mexicans are struggling.
While the President is focused on his billion dollar ballroom, I’m focused on YOU. And I’ll keep fighting for policies that put New Mexicans first.
On Endangered Species Day, I’m grateful for the work conservationists, advocates, and communities are doing to protect threatened and endangered species.
We need lasting solutions to address the challenges facing American wildlife, and I’m committed to doing that work.
Horrible news near Ruidoso today. My deepest condolences to the families and loved ones of those on board.
I voted seven times to end Trump’s war with Iran. Senate Republicans blocked it every single time.
This war is raising prices at the gas pump and at the grocery store. The American people DO NOT support it. End the war now.
When he says this, you should take him at his word.
