We are HOURS away from a Republican shutdown. @housedemocrats.bsky.social and I are here in Washington trying to get work done, but my radical Republican colleagues can’t even bother to show up.
@montemader.bsky.social and I sat down to talk about what’s really happening inside the halls of Congress and how extremist Christian Nationalism is infecting our democracy. Check out our convo here ⬇️
Your health care could skyrocket due to massive cuts Republicans made in their One Big Ugly Bill to pay for billionaire tax giveaways.
The GOP controls Washington and the ball is in their court: show up and negotiate with Democrats to lower costs or steamroll America into another Trump Shutdown.
If Republicans and Trump keep refusing to negotiate and shut down the government, Americans everywhere will feel the impacts.
My team and I are working around the clock to avoid this catastrophe, but we've compiled the information you need in the event of a shutdown ➡️
The government shuts down in 6 days, and Trump refuses to negotiate.
Republicans created a health care crisis, then pushed a spending bill they knew was doomed to fail... and now their wannabe dictator won't negotiate.
Their inability to govern is out of control and hurting the American people.
Students and I also took time to chat about foreign policy, gun violence, income inequality, and more. I'm always amazed by the incredible teens in our community.
Focusing on young people's mental health is so important, so I was glad to see how Novato High School is helping students with their brand-new Wellness Hub.
My statement regarding my yes vote on House Resolution 719:
(2/2) Democrats are ready to support a budget that lowers costs and protects Americans’ health care, but the GOP refuses to negotiate.
Republicans have total control of the government. If there's a shutdown, they’re responsible.
(1/2) We're 11 days away from a government shutdown, and Republicans just jammed through a partisan funding bill that will never pass the Senate – and then sent all of us home.
RFK Jr. is taking our country back decades, and it’s going to cost lives. He is grossly unqualified and should never have been confirmed in the first place.
This science-denying conspiracy theorist needs to resign before we have another self-induced public health crisis on our hands.
I'm hearing from #CA02 constituents like Anca who are dealing with the impacts of wildfires up and down the North Coast.
My team and I are working hard to assist you all in any way we can. To contact us for help with a federal agency, please visit here: huffman.house.gov/helping-you/...

.@rephuffman.bsky.social Trump just ordered the Park Service to remove signs and exhibits relating to slavery. What the hell is going on here?
It is pure propaganda. It's un-American.
This is authoritarianism 101. Trump is abusing his power to intimidate and silence critics, and Jimmy Kimmel is just his latest target.
I'm signing onto @repyassansari.bsky.social’s resolution to reaffirm the right to free speech and denounce what’s happening.
Greenhouse gases are both endangering public health and fueling the climate crisis.
Trump's solution? Dismantling our systems that limit these emissions.
His denial of science, truth, and the global crisis is out of control, and Republicans are doing less than nothing to stop him.
ATTENTION: all young coders in #CA02!

Great to chat with Bill McKibben about the importance of renewable energy in addressing the climate crisis, the challenges posed by fossil fuel interests, and more.
I'm grateful for conversations like this as we work to accelerate the transition to a sustainable energy future.
Federally recognized tribes deserve equal access to economic development opportunities that come with putting their land into trust – but that process is broken.
Our bipartisan bill led by Congressman Tom Cole would help right this wrong and ensure success for our tribal partners.
Congratulations to the #CA02 Congressional Art Competition winner, Annabelle Wiatrek Trum! It was so nice welcoming Annabelle to the Capitol to celebrate her win, and I’m thrilled to see her artwork in the halls of Congress.
As wildfires tear through communities across the country, Republicans want to cut our Forest Service budget by 76%. It's reckless and completely destructive. On #TheFlipSide, I'm fighting to protect and expand our resources.
