For 47 years, the Glendi Greek Festival has brought Granite Staters together to celebrate Greek heritage, community, and tradition. I was glad to be in Manchester and join the volunteers who make this beloved festival possible each year.
Since 2010, fire fighter Shaun Sullivan of Hampton has supported children at Ubaka U Rwanda, forming lasting relationships and inspiring others to join him in giving back. His extraordinary service is why I’m proud to name him September’s Granite Stater of the Month.
I was glad to join veterans and their families at Harbor Care’s annual Veteran Stand Down and speak with Jeff Chidester of WFEA about NH’s work to combat veteran homelessness. We must continue working together to support veterans when they return home.
It was great to meet with New Hampshire VFW leaders to discuss their legislative priorities for this year. I look forward to continuing to work together to ensure our veterans receive the care, support, and benefits they deserve.
On POW/MIA Day, we honor those who were captured or went missing while fighting for our freedoms. On this day, let’s resolve that those who went missing in action can never go missing from our memories. Their sacrifice — as well as their families — should never be forgotten.
For 79 years, the U.S. Air Force has defended our country at home and around the world. Today, we honor all those who have served and sacrificed to keep our country safe, secure, and free. Happy birthday, Air Force!
Leaves are starting to fall in New Hampshire, but tick season isn’t over yet. Our state has one of the highest rates of Lyme disease in the U.S. I’m glad to see that our bipartisan bill to help states research and fight tick-borne diseas
Communities across NH are making progress in the fight against fentanyl. The Trump administration is making their job harder. Blocking federal funds for fentanyl test strips takes a critical tool away from those working to prevent overdoses and save lives.
The United States is on the verge of losing its measles elimination status. Instead of confronting this public health threat, President Trump and Secretary Kennedy continue to fuel vaccine skepticism and put more Americans at risk.
Fentanyl continues to pose grave dangers to communities across New Hampshire and the country. A new independent oversight report finds that ICE significantly diverted resources away from stopping this deadly drug. We need answers and accountability. www.hassan.senate.gov/news/press-r...
Vose Farm Residences will help more working-class Granite Staters find housing they can afford while helping local businesses recruit and retain workers. I was glad to tour the development and meet the local leaders making it possible.
It was great to visit Enfield Village School as students kick off a new school year. I enjoyed reading with students and hearing how educators are helping young Granite Staters strengthen their reading skills.
New Hampshire businesses like Labsphere are driving innovation and creating cutting-edge technology with applications around the world. I enjoyed touring their facility and hearing about their work and continued growth.
A USPS whistleblower has confirmed what we all know to be true: President Trump's move to restrict mail-in ballots will make it harder for U.S. citizens to vote. I know that Granite Staters and all Americans are not going to let these kinds of tricks stand in the way of making their voices heard.
