hm. I think the difference is that playing a mid game feels like a lot more work, and/or tickles the part of my brain that enjoys unhealthy compulsive behaviours without tickling the part of my brain that is consuming art

realised the other day that about 95% of my time spent gaming is going “wow I had a transcendental experience with [perfect game] let’s play things like it” and just having a mid time
