Republicans, Donald Trump, and the billionaires that control the White House are working to gut Medicaid — all so they can give a massive tax cut to the richest 1%.
Our response? HANDS OFF.
You’re invited: Join me TOMORROW, Wednesday, May 7 at 6:00 PM PT for a telephone town hall where I will answer your questions LIVE!
Happy AANHPI Heritage Month!
As the first South Asian woman ever elected to Congress, I am so proud to be a part of this vibrant, diverse community. Let us take the time to recognize and celebrate AANHPI individuals and communities this month and year round!
When authoritarians and dictators try to steal our rights and silence our speech, when they sidestep the rule of law and ignore court orders telling them to do the right thing, the only thing that works to stop them is us — the people.
We cannot back down.
Republicans are letting Trump steal from everyday Americans, just so they can lower taxes for billionaires and corporations.
It’s unchecked greed, corruption, and cruelty at the highest level.
My friend Attorney General Nick Brown has been on the frontlines of the legal fights against nearly all of Trump’s unconstitutional actions — and he’s been winning.
Thank you for all of your work, @atg.wa.gov.

Trump doesn’t want to fix our broken immigration system. If he did, he would support popular bipartisan bills like the Dream and Promise Act to provide people with a pathway to citizenship.
What he wants is to kidnap legal residents, deport U.S. citizens, and end ALL immigration.
Republicans and big insurance companies like to call Medicare for All “radical.”
What’s so radical about having a universal health care system like every other developed country in the world?
The American people deserve a health care system that actually WORKS.
HHS is ending funding for four Women's Health Initiative regional centers.
Women are HALF of the population. These targeted funding cuts will mean that women get worse care — and that will cost lives. www.knkx.org/public-healt...
What’s in Republicans’ budget bill? A complete and total endorsement of everything Trump is doing.
Cutting Medicaid, Medicare, and Social Security. Illegal deportations. Ending the Department of Education. They support all of it.
ICYMI: Trump’s policies are so bad that our economy SHRUNK for the first time in years.
He’s too busy bending the knee to his billionaire buddies to care about working families and their pocketbooks. apnews.com/article/econ...
Republicans are using their budget bill to give Trump whatever resources he wants to kidnap and disappear people.
Yes, that even means deporting a 4 year old U.S. citizen with CANCER. Shameful.
Today is World Press Freedom Day.
The US is now ranked 57th in the world for press freedom — and that is rapidly declining as Trump continues to attack journalism.
Democracy needs a strong, free press to survive.
We have never suffered from scarcity in America. We suffer from greed.
And because of that greed, more and more people are not taking their medication, losing their health care, and dying.
It’s enough. We need Medicare for All.
Trump terminated $400 of AmeriCorps funding — including $21.6 MILLION for WA programs — funding that goes toward teaching our students, preventing wildfires, supporting veterans, and so much more.
This funding must be restored.
NEW: A federal judge just ruled that Apple restricted choice and ripped off consumers using the app store.
Americans deserve better. My full statement with Monopoly Busters Caucus co-chairs @deluzio.house.gov, @pkryan.bsky.social, and @repangiecraig.bsky.social.
As we fight back against Trump’s authoritarianism, we must also show the people what we are fighting FOR.
We have to fight for genuine social and economic opportunity for poor, working, and middle-class people in every corner of this country. www.thenation.com/article/poli...
When a school shooting happens, Republicans don’t blame the guns — they blame mental health issues.
But now Donald Trump is cutting $1 billion in mental health funding that aimed to stop gun violence in schools.
Make it make sense. www.washingtonpost.com/education/20...
Donald Trump’s presidency: promises made, promises broken.
Another authoritarian attack and illegal power grab from Trump on higher education in this country.
The United States doesn’t have kings, and he does not have the power to silence dissent. www.nytimes.com/2025/05/02/u...
