One expert called it: “The saddest display of a lack of evidence, rumors, recycling old myths, lousy advice, outright lies, and dangerous advice I have ever witnessed by anyone in authority in the world claiming to know anything about science.” www.reuters.com/business/hea...
I was just notified of ANOTHER death in ICE custody — the 16th since Trump took office. The second death TODAY. This is absolutely unacceptable.
Congress was just notified of the 15th death in ICE custody since Trump took office. This is the direct result of this administration expanding the use of private, for-profit prisons that put their bottom line over people’s health and safety.
BREAKING: Trump just backed out of his meeting on government funding with Democratic leadership. The government shuts down in 7 days, but Trump and Republicans are refusing to even come to the table to prevent millions from losing health care. If there is a shutdown, it will be on the GOP.

The federal government shuts down in 8 days. Democrats are fighting for a funding package that reverses Trump and Republicans’ health care cuts — but they're refusing to negotiate. Trump and Republicans would rather shut down the government than give you health care.
When billionaires and rich CEOs interact with Trump, all they do is grovel — profusely thanking him and telling him what an amazing president he is. It’s pathetic. These people will do anything, including sucking up to an authoritarian leader, as long as it benefits them.
Trump’s ICE has arrested the father of three active-duty U.S. Marines and the daughter of a Navy veteran. @janessagoldbeck.bsky.social of @vetvoicefoundation.bsky.social explains how these cruel and indiscriminate actions hurt our veterans and servicemembers.
Just four companies control 80% of the beef market in the United States. What does that mean? Farmers get shortchanged and we pay higher prices. Meanwhile, the CEO of Tyson’s took home $22.7 million last year. Corporate consolidation is screwing over the American people.
Americans abroad deserve to be safe, and when a U.S. citizen is killed in another country, our government has a responsibility to investigate and hold those responsible accountable. Nine Americans have been killed by the IDF or Israeli settlers since 2022. This must end.
Trump’s ICE kidnapped Rümeysa Öztürk and detained her for 45 days, just for writing an op-ed that called on her university to divest from Israel. It was an authoritarian attack on the First Amendment and all of our free speech rights.
This morning, I voted NO on Republicans’ partisan continuing resolution. I will not give my vote to legislation that does not restore the health care and food assistance that Trump and Republicans ripped away from millions of Americans in their Big Bad Betrayal. My full statement:
