As one of the richest Members of Congress, if I can co-sponsor the bipartisan Restore Trust in Congress Act to ban Members of Congress (and their families) from owning and trading individual stocks, then every Member should too. Let’s pass this bill!
Quality, free public education is a right in this country. Our education system is far from perfect, but dismantling the Department of Education from within will widen those gaps and deeply hurt the next generation. Oh, and this is illegal.
ICE is terrorizing our communities and even sweeping up U.S. citizens and green card holders. They’re not targeting violent criminals. They’re targeting anyone who looks like an immigrant. ICE is making all of us less safe.
Senate Republicans passed a provision that would allow Senators involved in the January 6th investigation to SUE the government for $500,000 EACH. House Dems led and passed a bill to repeal it. But Senator Lindsey Graham has chosen THIS of all things to take a stand on and blocked it. Typical.
Child care is more expensive than rent in cities all across this country. It’s making life unaffordable for so many young families. Congress needs to do a lot more to bring down the cost of child care AND ensure providers are making a living wage.
This lawyer was right: these strikes in the Caribbean violate U.S. and international law. These illegal strikes WILL make Americans less safe – by creating made-for-TV propaganda for our adversaries and by making our allies less likely to work with us.
Trump’s tariffs, rising health insurance costs, and overall high prices are hitting small businesses hard – in San Diego and across the country. Meanwhile, Trump is off golfing, building a ballroom, and schmoozing with billionaires.
The pain millions of Americans felt during the government shutdown after Trump illegally withheld SNAP benefits was sadly just a preview of what’s coming over the next few months. Trump’s Big Ugly Bill made the biggest cuts to SNAP in history. He’s creating a hunger crisis.
From Charlotte to Chicago to California — Trump is weaponizing ICE to incite fear in communities across our country. They’re sweeping up U.S. citizens and immigrants with no criminal records. They’re using violent tactics that threaten public safety. Rein in ICE now.
