Today our nation paid tribute to the life and works of President Jimmy Carter. The ceremony was beautiful, appropriate, uplifting and hopeful. I had the privilege of serving him during his term in the White House, and I can attest to the faithful, honorable, patriotic man he was.
Paying tribute to President Jimmy Carter this evening in the Rotunda of the US Capitol Dome. A fitting honor for this American hero and stalwart who gave so much to our nation and whose servant leadership inspired people around the world.

It's always great to see my friends @repmarcykaptur.bsky.social and @repgreglandsman.bsky.social - especially when we're watching President Biden sign the Social Security Fairness Act into law! I was proud to work with them to help get this important legislation across the finish line.
Sharing a message on a snowy day in Washington from the Plaza of the US Capitol after having just voted to certify the election of the next President of the United States. As Benjamin Franklin reminds us to this day, we have a Republic, if we can keep it. And that is our job.

Yesterday, President Biden signed the Social Security Fairness Act into law, a huge win for millions of teachers, firefighters, postal workers, and other public service workers.
Unions led the charge to restore retirement benefits. This is what dignity and fairness look like!
Joined Rep. Richard Neal, Rep. Troy Carter, Rep. Mike Carey and advocates from across America at The White House to celebrate the Social Security Fairness Act being signed into law. By eliminating WEP and GPO, 270,000 Ohioans will now receive their full earned Social Security benefits.

Today we shattered another glass ceiling—we are now 96 members strong, including 16 new members, setting a record for Democratic women serving in the House.
Shaped by our lived experiences, diverse backgrounds, & our communities, we’ll fight for women & families every day.
Ohio and Pennsylvania Members together wearing Red, White, and Blue on the House floor as we vote for Speaker of the House to begin the 119th Congress.
BREAKING NEWS: We have just received word that President Biden has blocked the sale of US Steel to Nippon Steel, preserving American ownership in this legacy manufacturing sector and protecting our US defense industrial base.
Landed in Washington and ready to be sworn in to the 119th Congress tomorrow to serve the people of NW Ohio. I look forward to sharing steps along the way as we work to help all Americans get ahead, and make life more affordable. Thank you for the privilege to represent you.
Because of the Inflation Reduction Act, beginning today seniors on Medicare across NW Ohio and nationwide will have their prescription drug costs capped at $2,000 annually. I will never stop fighting to lower costs for you.
