They have also been weaponized to torpedo relationships with close U.S. partners like India and Brazil at the literal expense of the American taxpayer. The Trump Administration must halt the tariffs immediately and provide Americans relief from the affordability crisis of Trump’s own making. (🧵3/4)
The Constitution makes clear that the power to impose tariffs lies with Congress. These arbitrary tariffs have created chaos for small businesses and caused prices for nearly everything from groceries to clothes to skyrocket, all while doing next to nothing to protect American workers & industries.
Doing corrupt sh*t over and over doesn't make it any less corrupt. Thanks for saying the quiet part out loud—this IS a brazen conflict of interest. Adding this to the evidence for my investigation.
EISEN: I want to ask about the report that a 49% stake in World Liberty was sold to an Emirati royal after your dad was elected for access to AI chips DON JR: We've been dealing w/ the conflict of interest stuff for years. Frankly, it's gotten old. They put us in this position. We just fought back.
@colbertlateshow.bsky.social was allegedly told to can an interview with a Dem Senate candidate over FCC concerns. If true, it's yet another example of Trump & Brendan Carr stifling dissent and free press. Trump is just a feeble, demented man who's afraid of taking a fat L in the midterms.
This man & his vile, racist behavior have no business in Congress—let alone on the Foreign Affairs Committee, where we're charged with representing America's values on the world stage. He should resign. If he won't, Speaker Johnson must strip him of his committee assignment.
An Emirati royal bought a 49% stake in Trump's crypto company—and then Trump approved the sale of AI chips to the UAE despite U.S. intelligence concerns. Trump literally sold out our national security for financial gain. It's Trump 2.0's largest corruption scandal yet. (🧵1/2)
