President Trump just fired: • 90 physicians • 350 nurses • at least 25 nurse practitioners • nearly 20 dentists • 85+ pharmacists • 45 lab techs All employed by the Indian Health Service to provide health care. This is going to have dangerous consequences for our Indigenous brothers and sisters.
@senatorheinrich.bsky.social, @repstansbury.bsky.social, @fernandez.house.gov, @repgabevasquez.bsky.social, and I are calling on the Administration to STOP these unlawful mass firings of hardworking New Mexicans.
President Trump and Elon Musk are taking a wrecking ball to the federal government and illegally firing New Mexicans from their jobs. This will create economic instability, undermine essential services, and endanger the safety of New Mexicans.
I joined @fernandez.house.gov and @senatorheinrich.bsky.social to demand answers from Postmaster General DeJoy about the Chimayó Post Office. After two years, it’s unacceptable that no action has been taken to rebuild. The Chimayó Post Office must be rebuilt now.
Mr. Kennedy’s long and troubling track record of peddling misinformation and conspiracy theories will not help make America healthier. He will undermine public health, rip away health care, raise care prices, and endanger the lives of families in New Mexico. I voted no for RFK Jr.
The confirmation of Tulsi Gabbard to oversee our intelligence agencies will make Americans less safe, undermine our global alliances, and politicize our national security. Just now, I put our national security first and voted against her confirmation.
President Trump has shown his admin is willing to disregard the rule of law – just like last time. Since Senate GOP refuse to fulfill their constitutional duty to be a check on the executive branch, this new portal will help courageous public servants submit whistle-blower complaints for corruption.
Today, I’m calling on our brave public servants: I’m launching a new portal for anyone who wants to expose corruption, abuses of power, and threats to public safety with the legal protections of being a whistleblower. www.democrats.senate.gov/whistleblowers
🚰 $120,000,000 for the Navajo-Gallup Water Supply Project 🚰 $98,000,000 to repair and replace the Las Vegas water treatment facilities 🚰 $191,000 to protect children from lead in drinking water at schools and childcare
Glad to welcome folks from the NM Rural Water Association to my office this week. Thank you for the work you do to ensure our communities have access to safe and reliable water. I've been proud to help secure grant money for clean water in New Mexico:
Last night, I voted NO on Russell Vought to lead the Budget Office. Before he was confirmed, he already plunged our country into chaos and confusion with his extreme policies. Our country and New Mexicans deserve better than this.
