Even Trump’s Secretary Burgum knows it’s wrong. He told me that “land sales are always sensitive, and they're always determined by the local partners.” He also praised the longtime law that keeps the proceeds from Nevada land sales in Nevada as a “great model.”
When Congressional Republicans: -Cut healthcare and close hospitals -End food assistance programs -Add $2.8 trillion to our debt -Enable cost-raising tariffs It makes life harder and more expensive for working families and it’s the wealthiest Americans who will benefit the most from tax breaks.
160 years ago, the last enslaved African Americans in Texas finally heard the words of their freedom — two years after the Emancipation Proclamation. #Juneteenth is a reminder of the progress we have made and the work we must do to create a more perfect union.
The reason congressional Republicans want to sell off millions of acres of public lands in America and Nevada — as part of a partisan budget process without any local input — is to subsidize the reckless spending and billionaire tax cuts in their Big Bullshit Bill.
Amazing! Congratulations to West Tech’s own Micah Campisi, this year’s #NV03 Congressional Art Competition Winner. Micah’s painting titled “Bluebird Finds Home” is now hanging in the halls of Congress for all to see!
For decades, federal law has made sure money from land sales stays in Nevada to invest in our water infrastructure, schools, and parks. Congressional Republicans want to change that so that they can pay for their billionaire tax breaks.
Thank you for writing to me, Seth — my note back to you is in the mail! I will continue to work with both Democrats and Republicans to make sure we continue investing in the fight against climate change and to protect our water.
The Administration is not being honest about the impacts of tariffs. By raising the cost of building materials, homes will only become more expensive in Nevada. Homes will cost over $10,000 more for Nevada homebuyers.
“Dreamers should be able to fully contribute to the only country they’ve ever called home.” Today is the 13th #DACA Anniversary. Thank you @susielee.house.gov for your leadership and for recognizing the urgent need to protect DACA recipients and Dreamers!
I am where I am today because of my dad. Today, I’m thinking of him and everything he did to support our family of ten. Happy Father’s Day to all the great dads and father figures out there!
I had the chance to chat with leaders in our veteran community to discuss how I can continue supporting our Nevada veterans in Congress. As the daughter of a veteran, there is nothing more important to me than having the backs of those who served our country.
Happy Birthday, U.S. Army! As we celebrate the 250th birthday of one of the country’s oldest institutions, let’s also honor the brave men and women in uniform who have served and continue to serve.
WATCH: I spoke with Mae, a Nevada senior who is blind and depends on Meals on Wheels for food and regular companionship. But House Republicans’ historic cuts to SNAP and Medicaid threaten access to Meals on Wheels. Seniors like Mae will go hungry.
