Last weekend, NV-03’s own Isaiah Misailegalu passed his American Idol audition, and I got to congratulate him from the House floor. Southern Nevada couldn’t be prouder. Congrats Isaiah – you’re going to Hollywood!
Holi is a time for communities to gather together and celebrate the arrival of spring. May the Festival of Colors bring you and your family joy, renewal, and hope for the coming year. Happy Holi!
The Secretary of Education wants to eliminate her own department, and it will crush special education in public schools.   Kids with disabilities like dyslexia, autism, or speech impairments won’t get the education they need.   This administration is hurting our kids.
I'll work with anyone to cut waste, but Elon Musk's DOGE has done nothing to lower costs for working families. He wants to give tax cuts to the rich at everyone else's expense. It only takes 3 House Republicans to stand up to Musk. Read my new op-ed👇 www.newsweek.com/congresswoma...
Seriously? The Secretary of Education doesn’t know what the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act is? Their plan is to cut special ed programs, dismantle the Education Department, and defund our schools to give tax breaks to the ultra-wealthy.  It’s a fight for our kids.
Republicans have control of Congress and the White House. They’ve refused bipartisanship and proposed a bill that would devastate working Nevada families or lead to a government shutdown. I’m ready to vote for a 4-week stopgap funding bill to stop the Republican shutdown.
The County worked for nearly two decades to get permission from BLM to tackle this project and I’m glad that this road will soon be safer and easier to use for Sandy Valley families. (2/2)
Republicans wrote this dangerous bill without any Democratic input. They have the majority, so they could have either passed it on their own or come to the table with us. If they want to act in good faith and let us vote on a clean CR, I’ll be willing to work with them.
The Republicans’ CR is anything but clean. I support cutting waste, but this CR defunds police, cripples our national defense, cuts veterans’ health care, and slashes programs Nevadans rely on.
Let me be clear: Elon Musk and President Trump are already shutting down the government, and Congressional Republicans are sitting back and letting it happen. Meanwhile, the cost of gas, groceries, and housing continues to rise. 🧵
Nevada graduates more medical students than there are residency slots available in our state.   That means we’re training the health care professionals we need, then forcing them to go somewhere else.   It doesn’t make sense—which is why I have a bipartisan bill to fix it.
Elon Musk’s federal government contracts for Tesla and SpaceX amount to nearly $20 billion—a clear conflict of interest. You think that’s getting caught up in his federal funding freeze?
Thank you to Major General Deborah Kotulich and the soldiers who welcomed me to the Dunaway U.S. Army Reserve Center. It was great to see up close the critical Army Reserves operations these men and women are working on right here in southern Nevada.
