Speaker Johnson has illegally and unconstitutionally refused to swear in Rep.-elect Adelita Grijalva for more than a month, denying Arizona voters their right to representation in Congress. Her election is certified. His obstruction is partisan and indefensible.

Mike Johnson is letting the House stay home while the government is shut down. Here’s the kicker: Members of Congress will still be paid on Nov. 1 unless they personally ask not to. I’ve done that. But our staff won’t get a dime. What kind of boss pays him or herself while their team goes unpaid?
