“Affordability” might not mean anything to billionaire grifters like Trump, but it sure means a lot to the American People. He should try actually talking to working folks for once in his life.
Trump: "There's this fake narrative that the Democrats talk about -- 'affordability.' They just say the word. It doesn't mean anything to anybody. They just say it. 'Affordability.' I inherited the worst inflation in history ... the word 'affordability' is a con job by the Democrats"
Trump pardoned the ex-president of Honduras who shoveled hundreds of tons of cocaine into the U.S. He pardoned the founder of a black market who imported fentanyl from China. These men poisoned America & killed millions. Whatever Trump’s illegal boat strikes are about, it sure isn’t drugs.
Pete "Kill Them All" Hegseth's strikes are illegal. Even by his own logic, if the strikes *are* against enemy combatants, then he committed a war crime by killing them after they'd been shipwrecked. Either way, he should resign & face accountability.
Because of Republican inaction, millions of Americans are going to see their health insurance skyrocket. Millions more will probably just go without healthcare. So what are Republicans doing about it? NOT A DAMN THING!
Thanksgiving dinner has never been more expensive. Thanks to Trump’s terrible tariffs, disastrous economic policies & cuts to food assistance programs, hunger in America will get worse. I stand with leaders like @mindydomb.bsky.social & @jocomerford.bsky.social as we keep fighting to #EndHungerNow.
My wife Lisa spent Friday at El Buen Samaritano with her treasured friend Mari Gonzalez and her team as they assembled & distributed boxes of food for neighbors and families. The need has never been greater - nor has the sense of community.
Trump promised to bring manufacturing jobs back to America. Instead, 58 thousand manufacturing workers have lost their jobs in America since his stupid tariffs took effect. Then he lies to our faces, saying the economy has never been better. Outrageous.
Trump can keep lying about the state of his disastrous economy, but Americans know the truth: it’s never been harder to afford basic needs. Even Fox News agrees—Trump’s economy sucks.
Trump doesn’t shop at a supermarket. He’s never had to choose between paper or plastic. He learned what the word “affordability” meant just a few weeks ago. Doesn’t get more out of touch than that.
This week, a bunch of our-of-touch billionaire CEOs dined with Trump and a Saudi prince who ordered the murder & dismemberment of a U.S. based journalist. There is something wrong with these people.
Credibility matters. Our word on human rights means nothing to China & others if we fail to practice what we preach here at home. America must lead by example, and show we stand for freedom of thought, religion, and conscience not just half way around the world—but half way down the block, too.
Israel must uphold its obligations under the Convention of the Rights of the Child and immediately move Mohammed to an appropriate medical facility, allow his family to visit, and let him come home!
