Today, history was made. For the first time ever, an American has been chosen to lead the Catholic Church. I join people of all faiths in welcoming Pope Leo XIV and praying for wisdom, strength, and moral clarity as he begins his papacy.

We endorse Rep. Cohen, Rep. McGovern & Sen. Whitehouse’s resolution condemning the administration’s assault on the free press, including the defunding of USAGM. These acts threaten free expression at home & embolden authoritarians abroad, endangering all journalists.

Rümeysa Öztürk and Mahmoud Khalil are political prisoners. They’ve broken no laws and are being detained not for what they’ve done, but for what they dared to say.
We went to Louisiana to demand their release.
This is insane. The government is now trying to censor medical journals—MEDICAL JOURNALS!!!—for content that Trump’s little tyrants disagree with. What happened to freedom of speech?? Follow the lead of Harvard and tell them to GET LOST!
Now more than ever we need to fight to protect our planet.
Happy Earth Day 🌎 Let’s celebrate not just with words but with action.
The clock is ticking and every day needs to be treated as Earth Day. #EarthDay
Happy Patriots’ Day! Today we celebrate the spirit of the Commonwealth—from the heroes of 1775 to the incredible runners taking on the Boston Marathon.
Good luck to all participating! Your determination reflects the best of who we are.
This is insane. Trump’s Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has now leaked classified military plans TWICE—this time through a unsecured Signal chat on a personal device to friends and family. He's a walking national security disaster and needs to resign or be fired.
What a beautiful Monday morning to grab coffee with seniors and members of the community at MOTW Coffee & Pastries in Shrewsbury!
I heard loud and clear their concern about the threats to programs that help seniors age with dignity. I’ll never stop fighting to protect Medicare & Social Security.
Republicans would rather praise a foreign dictator than respect the rule of law in our own country. This is sick!!
A reminder to join @frost.house.gov & me live at 4:30 pm on the WTF show!

Trump and Elon are taking apart the economy and selling it for pieces—stealing from the American people to give billionaires another tax break. It’s sick!
Economic growth doesn’t just happen — it happens through smart investments in people, infrastructure, and innovation.
So happy to be with everyone at the @worcesterchamber.bsky.social!
Honored to be delivering the Slomoff Lecture at UMass Boston today at 6 PM.
I’ll be speaking about human rights and the fight for peace—at home and abroad.
If you’re nearby, come join us at 100 Morrissey Blvd. at @umassboston.bsky.social. Hope to see you there!
Over 400 people at Wachusett Regional High School in Holden! People are fired up and mad as hell at what Donald Trump is doing to our country.
Thank you for showing up and standing up for what is right and just. You give me hope.
Today at Whately Town Hall, I told seniors from across the valley that I will not back down in the fight to stop Trump and Elon from screwing them over to fund tax breaks for billionaires.
If the courts won’t stop this, and the Republican majority in Congress won’t stop this, we must engage in mass peaceful protest to take our country back from fascism.
Today, I light a candle in solidarity with the people of Sudan. For too long, the world has looked away.
The Sudanese people deserve peace, justice, and accountability. We must speak out and protect civilians. #KeepEyesOnSudan #DontForgetAboutSudan 🕯️

Harvard has set an example for other higher-ed institutions - rejecting an unlawful and ham-handed attempt to stifle academic freedom, while taking steps to make sure students can benefit from an environment of intellectual inquiry, rigorous debate and mutual respect. Let’s hope others follow suit.
UPDATE: Read my new, urgent demand for answers. The American people deserve to know what Marco Rubio and Bukele agreed to. If this deal is so great, why are our own leaders afraid to make it public???Release it—now!!!
