Trump has illegally frozen USAID funds, forced layoffs, sidelined & silenced staff, & hollowed out the agency—now rumors are he wants to unilaterally eliminate it.   These harmful moves undermine our national security because when America steps back, our adversaries will step in.
RFK Jr. told me yesterday that he had never made unwanted sexual advances towards ANYONE. This new information about settlements and NDAs raises a lot of questions we need to know before any Senator casts a vote on his nomination.
The Senate should REJECT Russ Vought's nomination. You know what makes absolutely no sense? Confirming the mastermind of the last few days of chaos to oversee our country’s budget again.
The chaos Trump caused this week is unacceptable. I'm calling on him to: ➡️Restore every dollar held up by his devastating blanket freeze ➡️Rescind orders that are STILL blocking funding ➡️Withdraw Vought's nomination ➡️& abandon his illegal scheme to rip funding from families
Over the last few days, the American people have felt the painful consequences of Trump’s disastrous funding freeze—all of which is a result of having a president who is more focused on the billionaires who now fill his administration, than regular people.
By merely voting to confirm RFK Jr., we would be telling people he is worth listening to on vaccines. That alone will get people killed—before RFK Jr. even lifts a finger. He doesn't even need the levers of power, just a megaphone.
Russ Vought is the mastermind behind Trump's devastating funding freeze & has been the number one cheerleader of the idea that Trump should unilaterally rip funding away from working families. Senators should vote NO and REJECT his nomination.
I forced RFK Jr. to go on the record about if he stands by his comments saying the HPV vaccine—which has been proven to save lives and prevent cervical cancer—is "dangerous and defective". WATCH:
Every lawmaker who doesn’t want to see funds they secured for their state—funds they know families are counting on—ripped away must vote NO on Russ Vought's nomination to be Budget Director.
After the intense outcry from the American people, Trump has admitted his freeze on federal funding was a colossal mistake by rescinding the guidance—but the threat, chaos, & panic can't just be wiped away. There's still a lot of work to do to ensure funds get where they belong.
Make no mistake—the Trump admin is still illegally holding up billions of dollars across the federal government through their Day One Executive Orders. They are still blocking investments Congress passed into law to help our communities. This fight is far from over.
This fight is far from over; the Trump admin is still illegally withholding funding across government. Republicans are still intent on confirming Russ Vought as this country’s budget director—someone who has REFUSED to say he will follow the law. Don't let up.
Breaking news: The White House budget office on Wednesday rescinded an order freezing federal grants, according to a copy of a new memo obtained by The Post, after the administration’s move to halt spending earlier this week provoked a backlash.
This is an important victory for everyone who made their voices heard. Undoubtedly, the Trump admin caused serious chaos & real harm through a combination of sheer incompetence, cruel intentions, and disregard for the law. But real people made a difference by speaking out.
BREAKING: The White House Office of Management and Budget rescinded a memo that had ordered a "temporary pause" on federal funding and unleashed major confusion across the country.
The Trump administration's sheer incompetence, combined with their bad intentions and willful disregard of the law, is creating mass panic and chaos, while hurting real people everywhere—and they are STILL illegally withholding federal funds that are LAW.
