BREAKING: The House just passed a bill to extend the ACA tax credits for three years. Now, it's up to the Senate. Leader Thune: let the Senate vote on this bill to SAVE health care. I'm ready to vote YES to bring premiums down for millions of Americans.
Kristi Noem has had a disgraceful tenure marked by chaos, brutality, and rampant corruption. She should resign or be fired immediately. The question for the American people is, will this Republican-led Congress join Democrats in pushing for any accountability?
President Trump is ignoring the problems he has caused in our OWN country, all to start a war NO ONE asked for in Venezuela with no legitimate justification, no concern for the servicemembers being put in harm’s way, and absolutely NO long-term strategy.
BREAKING: The Senate just PASSED a bill to prevent war with Venezuela. Don't let anyone tell you this is just symbolic. We will keep pushing until it passes the House, and then we push to pass it with a veto-proof majority. No war. No occupation.
Conducting immigration enforcement doesn't mean you execute American citizens in the street. Yet DHS is already lying about what we can all see with our own eyes. Since Kristi Noem won't, state governments everywhere will need to hold out-of-control federal agents accountable.
More like "the dangers of Republican politicians who want to ban abortion and control women's bodies." Looking forward to discussing the science that unequivocally shows mifepristone is safe, effective, and essential.
I was just "briefed" on the strike in Venezuela & it's clear Trump has NO serious plan for what happens next. Americans don't want to be dragged into another costly foreign conflict, and they don't want “boots on the ground” fighting a war for Big Oil. No war. No occupation.
Five years ago, I sheltered in the Capitol, praying the lock on my door would hold. Alarms blared. Rioters screamed, "Kill the infidels." I held my breath, not just because I was in danger, but because our democracy was. Democracy held, and I do still believe we can keep it.
There is no reason to think the same President—now bolder than ever in challenging our Constitution—won’t try, once again, to get his way through threats and violence.   I won't let Trump rewrite history, and we ALL must use our voices & votes to protect our democracy.
After getting sworn in, Trump pardoned violent Jan 6 rioters. He didn't care if they beat cops or how dangerous they were. Now so many of them are back in jail for OTHER crimes like child pornography & kidnapping. Trump endorses violence as long as it's in service to Trump.
Trump's illegal military strike WAS NEVER about stopping drugs or democracy for Venezuela. It's about OIL and how Trump can use Venezuela's oil to get himself and his donors rich. He is quite literally telling us that. And that's not worth risking American lives for.
Scarborough on what Trump told him during a phone call yesterday: "Joe, the the difference between Iraq and this is that Bush didn't keep the oil. We're going to keep the oil. To underline his point, Trump said his comments were no long on background."
If you feel like you're losing your mind as this administration plays footsy with the idea of INVADING GREENLAND, then you're not alone. Let me be clear: America will NOT invade a NATO ally. My Republican colleagues need to join me in making that crystal clear.
TAPPER: Can you rule out the US is going to take Greenland by force? MILLER: Greenland should be part of the US. By what right does Denmark assert control over Greenland? The US is the power of NATO T: So force is on the table? M: Nobody is gonna fight the US militarily over future of Greenland
Five years ago today, President Trump incited an attack on our democracy, on the peaceful transfer of power, and on our Capitol Police. Our democracy only works if we fight for it with our voices and our votes—so I'm going to fight for it.
The American people can see for themselves how dishonest & cynical this is. Drug trafficking warrants the use of military force to topple a foreign government in one instance, and then merits Trump pardoning the former Honduran President, lawfully convicted of the same crime?
RUBIO: Maduro was indicted. Nobody ever did anything about it. STEPHANOPOULOS: Hernandez was convicted by a jury RUBIO: The pardon authority is something I'm not involved in STEPHANOPOULOS: Do you support it? RUBIO: I wasn't involved in those deliberations. I haven't looked at the case file.
RFK Jr. is a dangerous man whose conspiracy theories are putting children’s lives at risk. There is NO evidence behind this decision, and it will only cause more preventable diseases to spread. RFK Jr. should never have been confirmed. He should be FIRED or RESIGN.
These people hardly believe in anything. They lied to the American people to win an election, and now we're all paying the price. I opposed the war in Iraq from the outset, and I will oppose any war in Venezuela as well.  No occupation. No "boots on the ground."
