I take my responsibility to support our troops and their families seriously, and I always will.
I voted against the annual defense bill because it doesn't do enough to curb the Trump administration's lawlessness that puts us all at risk—& leaves out key provisions I worked on.

The storms in WA state have been a sobering reminder: the decisions we make in DC really matter for families back home.
20 years ago, I secured funding for Mount Vernon to build a flood wall. Now, that flood wall is preventing major flooding from devastating the city's downtown.
A good reminder for everyone commuting in extreme weather conditions today.
Remind everyone: Republicans made tax breaks for billionaires permanent. Permanent! They exploded the national debt by trillions to do it.
But saving health care for a few years? Republicans say that's too expensive.
My message to everyone in WA state dealing with the aftermath of the devastating floods: I know you have a long road ahead, but I will be with you every step of the way and will fight tooth and nail to make sure you get the support you need to rebuild and recover.
We should always come together in times of tragedy and focus on helping people. Thank you to the first responders working tirelessly to keep people safe as WA state experiences catastrophic and record-breaking flooding.
How many Americans will actually get to retire when everything in their lives is more expensive because of Trump's economy?
Here's Trump's Chief of Staff openly admitting Trump is weaponizing YOUR government for his own "score settling" and retribution.
This is the most corrupt administration in history and they're not even pretending otherwise.
🚨Spread the word: Major flooding is projected in Western Washington state in the days ahead.
As the severe weather and evacuations continue, it's critical that everyone stay informed and alert.
Skyrocketing premiums.
Higher prices on just about everything.
The highest unemployment rate since the pandemic.
This is the Trump economy.
The Trump administration is completely out of touch with reality and working Americans because it's run by some of the richest people in the world.
A government by billionaires, for billionaires.
ICYMI: Republicans cut provisions in the defense bill to make IVF affordable for servicemembers.
Why? Because Speaker Johnson doesn’t want our troops to be able to build their families.
Trump talks a big game about IVF—but he won't lift a finger to help people afford it.
A vile and disgusting statement from a sitting Senator.
Freedom of religion is fundamental to the identity of America. What a disgrace.

Information from NWS Seattle:
In coordination with King County, we have issued a FLASH FLOOD WARNING for a levee breach in Tukwila WA near Todd, Blvd. Water is likely moving north towards I-405. In addition, an evacuation notice is now in effect from King County.
So many of us loved Rob Reiner's movies. He left such a profound impact on so many.
What an absolutely black-hearted and despicable statement from the President of the United States about a man who was just murdered. Trump is deeply unwell and unfit to serve.
The last thing our veterans need is FEWER people making sure they get the health care they need.
This is a grossly short-sighted decision by Secretary Collins. We need answers and accountability.
Washington state: we're not out of the woods yet. Spread the word and make sure you and your family are prepared for power outages and other side effects of the flooding and extreme weather.
Only a billionaire would think Trump's economy is affordable. Oh, wait...
As Jewish families in WA state & around the world celebrate the start of Hanukkah, I’m thinking of the victims from the horrific shooting in Sydney.
They should have been able to celebrate safely. This kind of antisemitic hate & violence has no place in the world.
My thoughts are with the students at Brown University. It’s devastating to see yet another mass shooting in America.
This kind of violence should never be normalized. We need common sense gun safety laws.
