Trump is rigging the system so the biggest corporations can misclassify workers to block them from getting minimum wage and overtime. It's an outright grift & workers should be furious. Republicans will pass tax breaks for billionaires and then stiff workers for good measure.
In less than 24 hours, Trump went from saying he'll never cut Medicaid (he already passed the largest cut in history last year) to holding the program hostage for an entire state. Trump is using the most vulnerable people in our communities as political pawns. It's disgusting.
If you think BIRTH CONTROL pills are “a disrespect of life,” and can’t just say birth control is safe and effective for the overwhelming majority of women with your whole chest, you should NOT be America’s top doctor. I'm voting NO on Casey Means for Surgeon General.
Trump's State of the Union was way too long, but more importantly, it was a reminder that Americans are paying more—literally—thanks to his broken promises. That health care plan? Surging premiums, Medicaid cuts, and hospitals closing. Lowering prices on day one? Look around.
Millions of moms struggle with depression during their pregnancy. America deserves a Surgeon General who can state plainly that SSRIs are SAFE for the majority of pregnant women. We don't need more junk science charlatans. I'm voting NO on Casey Means' confirmation.
MURRAY: Do you believe SSRIs are dangerous for pregnant women? TRUMP SURGEON GENERAL NOMINEE CASEY MEANS: Every medication has risks and benefits and you need to have a nuanced conversation with your doctor MURRAY: Strong evidence shows they're safe
Well, now that we've gotten through THAT, here's the truth: This is America and no matter what Trump wants you to believe, the power belongs to the PEOPLE. A more hopeful future for America is possible when we all speak out and stand up for what we believe in.
Trump didn’t “lift” anyone off food stamps—he kicked them off. He’s forcing millions to go hungry. By the way, you can work full time and STILL qualify for SNAP. My family needed SNAP growing up—it’s not charity, it’s an investment. Fund SNAP. Reverse the cuts.
Trump: "In one year, we have lifted 2.4 million Americans -- a record -- off of food stamps" (In other words, Republicans cut food stamps)
Yeah Trump kept his promise to “drill baby drill.” He also kept his promise to sell this country out to Big Oil. Cancelling clean energy projects for NO reason and SPIKING your electricity costs. Utility bills are way UP because of this grifter President.
Trump is making life worse and more expensive for the American people, defying Congress at every turn, and spitting in the face of the law—I won’t be sitting through his SOTU. But you can bet, I’ll be listening—I’ll be ready to respond to the lies and set the record straight.
The Trump administration is purposely ripping away the ability for pregnant children to get the health care they need. Think about that—CHILDREN. Many who are victims of rape. This is sick and the American people deserve answers.
Four years ago, Putin launched a deadly, unprovoked, and unjustified war against Ukraine, and the continued horror inflicted on the Ukrainian people is barbaric. I will keep working to ensure Ukraine has the support needed to defend itself and win back peace and security.
Global Entry uses automated kiosks to save staff capacity & expedite processing. Is Kristi Noem forcing employees to unplug kiosks & MANUALLY process passengers? Truly as dumb as it gets. Instead of punishing travelers, Trump should focus on negotiating urgent ICE reforms.
How much did our grifter FBI Director spend on travel, security, and accommodations to party in Italy on the taxpayer dime? Waste, fraud, and abuse—the call was always coming from inside the house.
FBI Director Kash Patel defended himself after videos showed him partying with the U.S. men’s hockey team at the Olympics. Patel took to social media to say the men’s hockey team had invited him into the locker room to celebrate with them.
