Would Republicans in Congress still nod their head and go along with it if Russia did what Trump did in Venezuela? Or China? Can North Korea send the military to arrest South Korean leaders? Can Iran make arrests in Israel? Of course not—so let's stop playing dumb.
Trump isn't even trying to hide why he attacked Venezuela: OIL. Americans don't want a war with Venezuela—especially not one to enrich oil executives. Oil profits are not worth putting American lives at risk. No war. No occupation. No "boots on the ground."
Let me repeat: 2025 was the worst year for job growth outside of a recession since 2003. Trump's economic policy has been nothing short of a disaster since the start. How about instead of starting wars with foreign countries, we fix our problems here at home?
It’s important that state & local officials are involved in investigating this shooting.   Under the Trump administration, DHS is nothing more than a miserable propaganda machine.   We need answers & accountability.   Our cities are not training grounds for trigger-happy DHS agents.
BREAKING: The House just passed a bill to extend the ACA tax credits for three years. Now, it's up to the Senate. Leader Thune: let the Senate vote on this bill to SAVE health care. I'm ready to vote YES to bring premiums down for millions of Americans.
Kristi Noem has had a disgraceful tenure marked by chaos, brutality, and rampant corruption. She should resign or be fired immediately. The question for the American people is, will this Republican-led Congress join Democrats in pushing for any accountability?
President Trump is ignoring the problems he has caused in our OWN country, all to start a war NO ONE asked for in Venezuela with no legitimate justification, no concern for the servicemembers being put in harm’s way, and absolutely NO long-term strategy.
BREAKING: The Senate just PASSED a bill to prevent war with Venezuela. Don't let anyone tell you this is just symbolic. We will keep pushing until it passes the House, and then we push to pass it with a veto-proof majority. No war. No occupation.
Conducting immigration enforcement doesn't mean you execute American citizens in the street. Yet DHS is already lying about what we can all see with our own eyes. Since Kristi Noem won't, state governments everywhere will need to hold out-of-control federal agents accountable.
More like "the dangers of Republican politicians who want to ban abortion and control women's bodies." Looking forward to discussing the science that unequivocally shows mifepristone is safe, effective, and essential.
I was just "briefed" on the strike in Venezuela & it's clear Trump has NO serious plan for what happens next. Americans don't want to be dragged into another costly foreign conflict, and they don't want “boots on the ground” fighting a war for Big Oil. No war. No occupation.
Five years ago, I sheltered in the Capitol, praying the lock on my door would hold. Alarms blared. Rioters screamed, "Kill the infidels." I held my breath, not just because I was in danger, but because our democracy was. Democracy held, and I do still believe we can keep it.
There is no reason to think the same President—now bolder than ever in challenging our Constitution—won’t try, once again, to get his way through threats and violence.   I won't let Trump rewrite history, and we ALL must use our voices & votes to protect our democracy.
After getting sworn in, Trump pardoned violent Jan 6 rioters. He didn't care if they beat cops or how dangerous they were. Now so many of them are back in jail for OTHER crimes like child pornography & kidnapping. Trump endorses violence as long as it's in service to Trump.
