More lies from J.D. Vance. Here are the facts: Health insurance premiums are skyrocketing BECAUSE Republicans refuse to act. Republicans aren't worried about YOUR rising health care costs. They had the chance to extend the ACA tax credits this summer and voted it down THREE times.

Republicans want all of us to believe that Trump has unchecked power to do whatever he wants—but when it comes to making sure SNAP benefits continue so that hungry kids and seniors are fed (which, by the way, is required by law) his hands are somehow tied. What a sick joke.

Without the ACA tax credits, Nanette's premiums will go up by $400/month. Tom's by $800. Jennifer's by $890. Jason's by $900. Maya's by $1,000. Terry's by $1,600. Rebecca's by $1,700. Damian's by $2,000. These are real people. And there are several million more examples.
I get that Donald Trump basically has no idea what's going on in the day-to-day life of regular Americans. But someone needs to tell him this is a MAGA health care crisis. WAKE UP! 80% of the funding from ACA tax credits goes to states HE WON.
I've heard from businesses across WA state who are getting CRUSHED by Trump's reckless trade war—creating HIGHER PRICES for working families, tighter margins for struggling businesses, and more worry for those being pushed to the edge.
The Republican Senate Majority Leader chose to send the Senate HOME rather than hold a vote to fund SNAP. He will force a vote 13 times on a bill he knows won't pass rather than vote ONE time on a bill to fund SNAP we KNOW would pass. Shameful.

BREAKING: Senate GOP just BLOCKED Democrats' straightforward bill to pay our troops. If Republicans still refuse to work with Democrats to reopen the government and prevent health care costs from skyrocketing, they should at the very least be able to work with us to make sure our troops get paid.
An increase of $13 a month? I'm sure millions of Americans wish they lived in whatever alternative timeline Dr. Oz is because the truth is that premiums are going to double, or worse! Oz has clearly not even looked at the ACA marketplace—which is crazy, BECAUSE THAT IS HIS JOB.

"Talking" about health care later isn't going to do anything for people whose premiums are doubling or even quadrupling. Prices are getting locked in. "Talking" about this LATER is TOO LATE.
Donald Trump has the money to make sure people on SNAP get their benefits, even in a shutdown. He is CHOOSING not to. And don't forget: Republicans passed the LARGEST cut to SNAP in our nation's history.
BREAKING: Democrats just tried to pass a standalone bill to fund WIC & SNAP to make sure families don't go hungry during the Republican shutdown. Republicans BLOCKED it. So Trump won't use emergency funds to keep SNAP running, and Republicans won't let any bills pass. Shameful.
What's Trump been up to during the shutdown? Shoveling $40 billion to bail out Argentina, asking DOJ to pay him $230 million, and demolishing the East Wing to build a $300 million gold-plated ballroom. But he won't lift a finger to stop premiums from more than doubling.
The president should be meeting with congressional leaders on both sides every single day until government is open.   Instead, Trump is in Asia pining to meet dictator Kim Jong Un and he's focused on building himself a $300 million ballroom.
