America has to be a place where we settle disagreements with our votes and our voices. Last night, the President chose to divide and incite. It's difficult to ignore that. Leaders need to bring our country together. There is always a way back. We need to get there together.
Today, I'm remembering the nearly 3,000 people we lost on 9/11, along with the many first responders who ran into the danger that day and in the days after. Our strength as a nation comes when we embrace our humanity and stand together.
Kids were shot at their school in Colorado today. We don’t have to sit by and simply accept school shootings as a fact of life in America.

Congress can pass meaningful gun safety laws—and I am ready to do exactly that.
Just months ago, the Speaker of the MN House was killed. Now, Charlie Kirk. This must end.   Political violence is a uniquely dangerous thing. We make ourselves heard with our voices and votes.
We cannot settle disagreements with violence in this country.
Political violence is never acceptable. It's really that simple. We can't have a democracy otherwise. I hope Mr. Kirk makes a full recovery. My thoughts are with his family.
This is a good first step. And like I've said, it's important for the Senate to hear from former CDC Director Monarez. Next, RFK Jr. needs to answer to the Senate, and he should be fired immediately. Time for radical transparency, RFK Jr.
Time for Republicans to get real: they control the House, the Senate, AND the White House. Republicans are in the driver's seat. If they let this car go off the cliff and shut down the government, it will be a REPUBLICAN SHUTDOWN.
I don’t think Trump should get a blank check on how to spend your taxpayer dollars. I want to throw Trump’s budget in the trash & fund cancer research, child care, and our K-12 schools. When we pass spending bills, Congress decides how we invest in taxpayer dollars—not Trump.
Climate change is real—no matter what fake report Trump wants to cite to justify helping his big oil donors allowing corporations to pollute our air and water and raise your energy bill.
The Trump Administration published a report peddling the lie that climate change is not a threat. No surprise, it was written by climate deniers with ties to the fossil fuel industry and was full of disinformation, cherry-picked stats, and errors.
NEWS: Senators Whitehouse & Murray Demand Trump Administration's Sham Climate Report be Withdrawn in Shame.
“Lacking credible science to support its desired outcome, the Trump Administration has turned to the same small clique of climate science deniers that the fossil fuel industry regularly trots out to deny the overwhelming scientific consensus that human-caused climate change is real and presents grave environmental and economic threats. But just because these climate change deniers exist does not mean they are credible: there is a greater than 99% consensus in the peer-reviewed scientific literature that human-caused climate change is real."
Trump and RFK Jr. are upending cancer research. They're cutting patients off from clinical trials and killing so many kids' only hope for a cure. I’m fighting to restore funding, but I can't restore lost time. FIRE RFK Jr. NOW.
This is revolting. Clearly, some truly sick stuff was going on between Trump and Epstein. There is no more pretending this is a hoax. Trump promised to release the files, so release them.
Jeffrey Epstein’s estate has given Congress a copy of the 2003 birthday book, including the letter with Trump’s signature that he has said doesn’t exist. Read more: 🔗 on.wsj.com/4nGGdnJ
This decision will further empower this administration to detain anyone for how they look or what language they speak. It's so egregiously wrong and dangerous. We have a long, tough road ahead, but we have to use our voices and votes to fight for a better America.
Breaking News: The Supreme Court lifted restrictions on ICE agents in Los Angeles, allowing them to make indiscriminate stops based on factors like ethnicity.
I will work with any Republicans willing to put science and facts over politics and ideology to push out RFK Jr. That man is a serious threat to public health and American lives. It's never too late to do the right thing. Join me in calling for RFK Jr. to be fired immediately.
Millions of Americans are about to get a notice letting them know their health care premiums are going to SKYROCKET. Families are going to face higher costs & potentially even lose their coverage. Democrats have a bill to stop it, but Republicans are REFUSING to even lift a finger.
The President is casually suggesting he will go to “war” against an American city. Today it’s Chicago, tomorrow it might be Seattle. It’s not funny or amusing. I’ll be fighting back in Congress but remember: he WANTS you to think your voices and votes don’t matter—they do.
The Enchantments in the Cascades is a beautiful stretch of land across 900 miles of trails. Last year, there were 11 wilderness rangers patrolling the Enchantments. This year, there’s ONE—thanks to Trump. I'm fighting to fund our forest service and SAVE OUR PUBLIC LANDS.
E.J. Antoni is unwell—he is apparently a disturbed, hateful, conspiracy-driven man. Not only is he an unqualified, partisan hack, but apparently, he has been a prolific promoter of vile, hate-filled screeds. This kind of revolting behavior should be a red line for all Senators.
