Skagit Valley's Tulip Festival isn't just beautiful, it's also a huge economic driver for the region—& this year's festival is already being hit by Trump's nonsense trade war with Canada. I stopped by & heard from growers about how Trump’s trade chaos is hurting their business.
Senator Murray is standing and shaking hands with a man in a long-sleeved shirt who is facing away from the camera. Behind the Senator, three men are watching the interaction. There are green hedges, trees with pink leaves, and an American flag in the background.
Senator Murray is standing in a greenhouse and looking to the left at a man who is speaking with his hands outstretched. Behind them are rows of green plants, hoses, and other planting equipment.

Trump is arresting judges, extorting law firms, and weaponizing the DOJ to target anyone he views as a political enemy. America, we can't be intimidated. This is still a democracy and your voice matters. Keep speaking out any way you can.
Breaking News: FBI Director Kash Patel said that agents arrested a Wisconsin county judge and accused her of obstructing immigration enforcement, a major escalation in the Trump administration’s battle with local authorities over deportations.
Pam Bondi is not the President’s personal lawyer and DOJ is not a cudgel to target whoever the President doesn’t like. This is a democracy and We The People will not let this President trample over our constitution. I’m not afraid of Donald Trump and you shouldn’t be either.
Bondi declares war on the courts: "What has happened to our judiciary is beyond me ... they are deranged ... we are sending a very strong message today ... we will come after you and we will prosecute you. We will find you."
Good. But the damage won't be easy to repair. I just spoke with PhD students in WA state last week who are being aggressively recruited by Canada & other countries. They're understandably disturbed by this administration’s glee in targeting & detaining lawful foreign researchers & students.
I was in Skagit County meeting with farmworkers and let me be clear: these workers don’t deserve to be treated like criminals—they deserve respect.  Enforcing our immigration laws does NOT mean ignoring due process and I will keep fighting back against ANY unlawful actions.
Senator Murray is sitting in a classroom at a large U-shaped table with 7 other people, and one man is standing against a door. Everyone sitting has a paper nameplate in front of them and there is WSU decorations and corkboards with paper on them in the background.
Students & faculty at our nation's universities should be able to learn and exchange ideas without fear of retribution. America is not an autocracy. Thank you to UW & Seattle U for standing up to Trump's political interference in higher education. I've got your backs.
The President is saying if you pay him directly, you get face time and special treatment. The corruption is staggering and completely without precedent. This President is a crook, no two ways about it.
The price of $TRUMP soared after the token’s holders received an invite for a private dinner with the president. “It will be a night to remember!”
WA state is being hit especially hard by Trump's nonsense trade war, & our border communities are hurting the hardest. I was in Blaine talking to city leaders about how their local economy is being affected. It's time Republicans join Democrats in stopping these reckless tariffs.
Since Day 1, the Trump admin has been attacking Head Start. This program provides pre-K & essential services for nearly 800,000 kids every year. But Trump is freezing funding, firing staff, & wants to eliminate it. I'm demanding Trump & RFK Jr. reverse these actions immediately.
I was glad to hear from women veterans at a local VFW in Seattle, but it's unacceptable that the Trump administration refused to allow VA Puget Sound to either host or participate in this discussion. I'm demanding accountability, and I'll keep fighting Trump & Elon's cuts to VA.
Senator Murray is sitting at a table next to a woman in a military hat. She is looking to the right of the frame at a woman in a blue shirt who is speaking with her hands outstretched and her back to the camera. Next to the woman in the blue, another person is sitting with their back to the camera.
Senator Murray is sitting at a table with three other women. Behind them is a large seal that reads "VETERANS OF FOREIGN WARS OF THE UNITED STATES," an American flag, and golf plaques that surround a framed portrait. Everyone at the table has a paper nameplate in front of them.
Senator Murray is standing and looking at a woman in a red hoodie that is standing in front of her. The Senator is holding a phone, a stack of papers, and a pen. Behind them, is a door with a map of the world on it, and a few framed pictures.

I was denied permission to host a roundtable at the Puget Sound VA to hear from women veterans about their health care. I have NEVER been outright denied from having open & honest conversations with VA—until this administration. I'm demanding an answer from VA Secretary, Doug Collins.
Families in WA state and across the country rely on HHS programs like Head Start—but Trump & Elon are doing everything they can to break them. That's why I met with folks in Seattle to hear firsthand how this chaos is hurting working families. I'm fighting to SAVE Head Start.
Senator Murray is sitting at the head of a U-shaped table, next to a woman. Both are looking over to the right at a man who has a tablet in front of him. On the table there are paper nameplates in front of each person and behind the Senator is a backdrop that says "#solvepoverty" with an image of three puzzle pieces that illustrate a house on it.

I've been proud to partner with my friend, @durbin.senate.gov, on so many important issues over the years, whether investing in NIH research or working to end violence against women. Dick, you've accomplished so much for Illinois and all of America—and I know you're not done yet.
The decision of whether to run for re-election has not been easy. I truly love the job of being a United States Senator. But in my heart, I know it’s time to pass the torch. So, I am announcing today that I will not be seeking re-election at the end of my term.
My heart is with all of the loved ones of those who were murdered during the horrific terrorist attack in India. The people of India and the global community should know that America stands firmly with them against these terrorist attacks.
Small businesses are the backbone of our economy—and Trump's tariffs are hurting them the most. Today, I was in Seattle to talk to small business owners who agree—Congress MUST REVERSE these tariffs and END this nonsense trade war.
I was denied permission to host a roundtable at the Puget Sound VA to hear from women veterans about their health care. I have NEVER been outright denied from having open & honest conversations with VA—until this administration. I'm demanding an answer from VA Secretary, Doug Collins.
Our country relies on @noaa.gov for everything from daily forecasts & severe weather warnings to protecting marine habitats. I toured their Western Regional Center in Seattle and my message to Trump and Elon? Keep your hands OFF NOAA.
Right now, Trump is trying to destroy historic clean energy investments & basic environmental protections, jeopardizing our planet and economy. On this Earth Day, I'm committed to fighting back and standing firm to defend the progress we've made to protect the environment.
