They do everything from helping at local food banks to responding to natural disasters. Trump needs to restore this funding ASAP.

I traveled all over WA state last week—from Yakima to Vancouver to Blaine—& everywhere I went, I heard about how Trump's trade war is already hurting businesses, families, & our economy.
It’s time for Republicans to join with Democrats and END this reckless trade war.
Trump’s chaotic tariffs are a five-alarm fire for small businesses.
How can you plan for the future if one tweet from Trump could cause your prices to skyrocket? This is a DISASTER for businesses, consumers, and our trade relationships around the world.
Trump is terminating grants for a program that helps advocate for children who have been the victims of abuse and neglect.
Is that the Republican Party's platform now? Abandon child victims of crime to make room to cut taxes for billionaires?
To keep up their lies about Social Security, Musk and DOGE are wrongly marking people dead who are very much alive.
It's stopping their car payments, their credit, & an already overworked staff has to fix it.
This is either unacceptable incompetence or malicious sabotage.
Skagit Valley's Tulip Festival isn't just beautiful, it's also a huge economic driver for the region—& this year's festival is already being hit by Trump's nonsense trade war with Canada.
I stopped by & heard from growers about how Trump’s trade chaos is hurting their business.
Trump is arresting judges, extorting law firms, and weaponizing the DOJ to target anyone he views as a political enemy.
America, we can't be intimidated.
This is still a democracy and your voice matters.
Keep speaking out any way you can.
Pam Bondi is not the President’s personal lawyer and DOJ is not a cudgel to target whoever the President doesn’t like.
This is a democracy and We The People will not let this President trample over our constitution.
I’m not afraid of Donald Trump and you shouldn’t be either.
Good. But the damage won't be easy to repair. I just spoke with PhD students in WA state last week who are being aggressively recruited by Canada & other countries.
They're understandably disturbed by this administration’s glee in targeting & detaining lawful foreign researchers & students.
I was in Skagit County meeting with farmworkers and let me be clear: these workers don’t deserve to be treated like criminals—they deserve respect.
Enforcing our immigration laws does NOT mean ignoring due process and I will keep fighting back against ANY unlawful actions.
Students & faculty at our nation's universities should be able to learn and exchange ideas without fear of retribution.
America is not an autocracy.
Thank you to UW & Seattle U for standing up to Trump's political interference in higher education. I've got your backs.
The President is saying if you pay him directly, you get face time and special treatment.
The corruption is staggering and completely without precedent.
This President is a crook, no two ways about it.
WA state is being hit especially hard by Trump's nonsense trade war, & our border communities are hurting the hardest.
I was in Blaine talking to city leaders about how their local economy is being affected.
It's time Republicans join Democrats in stopping these reckless tariffs.
Since Day 1, the Trump admin has been attacking Head Start.
This program provides pre-K & essential services for nearly 800,000 kids every year. But Trump is freezing funding, firing staff, & wants to eliminate it.
I'm demanding Trump & RFK Jr. reverse these actions immediately.
This a devastating loss for women’s health research.
It is not efficient to destroy lifesaving research on women's health care.
I'm calling on every member of Congress to join me in demanding that the Trump administration reverses course.
By the way, Trump and Elon are firing veterans across government while the Secretary of Defense spends your money on a makeup studio.
I was glad to hear from women veterans at a local VFW in Seattle, but it's unacceptable that the Trump administration refused to allow VA Puget Sound to either host or participate in this discussion.
I'm demanding accountability, and I'll keep fighting Trump & Elon's cuts to VA.
Families in WA state and across the country rely on HHS programs like Head Start—but Trump & Elon are doing everything they can to break them.
That's why I met with folks in Seattle to hear firsthand how this chaos is hurting working families.
I'm fighting to SAVE Head Start.
I've been proud to partner with my friend, @durbin.senate.gov, on so many important issues over the years, whether investing in NIH research or working to end violence against women.
Dick, you've accomplished so much for Illinois and all of America—and I know you're not done yet.
