Trump & Musk recently fired Sam from his dream job as a Park Ranger in Eastern Washington state with no justification.
Without people like Sam: trash piles up, our parks are less safe, and less accessible.

Hiring & retaining air traffic controllers has been an issue for as long as I can remember—and we WERE making progress! Then Elon came in, fired hundreds of FAA staff that support ATCs, and did everything else he could think of to make their jobs harder & worse.
It’s incredibly disappointing that Republican leadership is walking away from bipartisan negotiations to fund the government—and raising the risk of a shutdown in so doing.
Here's my full statement with @delauro.house.gov on government funding talks ⬇️
I spoke with WA state @nacchoalerts.bsky.social members about how Elon Musk's reckless layoffs of CDC workers—while avian flu & measles are on the rise—is breaking public health infrastructure and putting us all at risk.
A major disease outbreak won't just be expensive—it will cost lives.
Trump & Musk are trying to choke off money for @ppfa.org but that would inflict real harm on women who need cancer screenings, birth control, STI testing, & more.
I met with @alexismjpp.bsky.social to discuss these attacks.
We are both committed to protecting health care for working people.
Two billionaires who have no clue what NOAA does and why it matters are laying off weather forecasters.
Our whole economy hinges on the weather. Meteorologists support wildland firefighters. They help planes & ships navigate.
This is going to cost lives and property.
Mass firings hit the the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and the National Weather Service (NWS) on Thursday afternoon.

I talked with WA state Early Care & Education Consortium members about the vital work they're doing to support students & families. Trump & Elon are making the child care crisis worse so we've got to get louder than ever to prioritize child care.
Are workforce training programs DEI? Or supporting people with disabilities?
Is it DEI to help veterans?
I have yet to hear one Trump official provide a coherent definition of DEI, but they're happy to label whatever they don't like as 'DEI' & illegally rip away taxpayer dollars!
Do you believe taxpayer dollars should go to companies that discriminate?
Feels like a pretty simple question, but Trump's Labor Deputy Secretary nominee outright REFUSED to answer.
Maybe because Trump is making it easier for companies to discriminate.
I refuse to vote for yet another billionaire who will work with Trump & Elon Musk to try and dismantle the Department of Education.
Republicans are pushing a pro-billionaire, anti-public school agenda.
I voted NO to advance Linda McMahon's confirmation.
When the richest man in the world can use his unelected position to stomp out competitors & freeze oversight of his companies—we need a Labor Secretary who will stand up to that corruption.
Chavez-DeRemer is not that person. I voted NO to advance her nomination out of committee.
Every veteran has a right to be outraged that an unelected billionaire and his teenage interns have thoughtlessly terminated VA contracts that support chemotherapy, imaging services, and more.
DOGE is clearly a serious threat to VA patient safety.
Kick Elon OUT of the VA.
"Measles is preventable—please vaccinate your kids to save their lives."
That's what ANY sane public health official would say.
The last measles death was a DECADE ago. But the elevation of anti-vax conspiracists like RFK Jr. is sowing distrust and killing children.
I spoke to leaders from Philanthropy Northwest about the great work they do across WA state & the entire Northwest region.
Trump & Musk need to understand the damage they’re causing by ripping away promised federal dollars and undermining the valuable work of our philanthropic organizations.
An unelected billionaire who is cutting off cancer research & firing VA doctors joined Trump's official Cabinet meeting.
Since Elon has more say on the budget than any Cabinet Secretary, I am calling on him to come before the Senate to justify the damage he’s causing.
Co-presidents Trump & Musk fired hundreds at Bonneville Power—the people who literally keep the lights on, and it's hurting those in rural WA state the most.
I spoke to folks from WPUDA to hear about how this is affecting folks in the region and our electric grid.
House Republicans just passed a budget that would kick families off their health care, shut down nursing homes, and force kids to go hungry—all to pass more tax cuts for billionaires that will blow up our national debt.
Raphael is a disabled Army veteran who worked at the VA in Seattle and played a critical role in processing servicemembers' disability benefits.
He's received nothing but stellar performance reviews.
Elon Musk fired him with ZERO justification. Help share his story.
Democrats absolutely do not want a shutdown and are working in good faith to fund the government—but we need to know Republicans are willing to work with us to protect Congress’s power of the purse.
That is the absolute bare minimum—and it is frankly not asking a whole lot.
