Every veteran has a right to be outraged that an unelected billionaire and his teenage interns have thoughtlessly terminated VA contracts that support chemotherapy, imaging services, and more. DOGE is clearly a serious threat to VA patient safety. Kick Elon OUT of the VA.
"Measles is preventable—please vaccinate your kids to save their lives." That's what ANY sane public health official would say. The last measles death was a DECADE ago. But the elevation of anti-vax conspiracists like RFK Jr. is sowing distrust and killing children.
I spoke to leaders from Philanthropy Northwest about the great work they do across WA state & the entire Northwest region. Trump & Musk need to understand the damage they’re causing by ripping away promised federal dollars and undermining the valuable work of our philanthropic organizations.
Senator Murray is sitting at the head of a wooden table with her hands folded together. A man and a woman are seated on the far side of the table and two women are seated with their backs to the camera on the opposite side of the table.
An unelected billionaire who is cutting off cancer research & firing VA doctors joined Trump's official Cabinet meeting. Since Elon has more say on the budget than any Cabinet Secretary, I am calling on him to come before the Senate to justify the damage he’s causing.
Elon Musk is now presiding over the cabinet meeting. They're not beating the co-president allegations. (And co-president might be putting it charitably for Trump.)
Co-presidents Trump & Musk fired hundreds at Bonneville Power—the people who literally keep the lights on, and it's hurting those in rural WA state the most. I spoke to folks from WPUDA to hear about how this is affecting folks in the region and our electric grid.
Senator Murray is sitting at the head of a large brown table, looking to the left at a woman in red who is speaking with her hand outstretched. Next to the woman in red, there is a man also looking at her, and behind them 5 men are sitting in chairs up against the corner of the wall next to an American flag. On the other side of the table, two men and three women are seated with their backs to the camera.
House Republicans just passed a budget that would kick families off their health care, shut down nursing homes, and force kids to go hungry—all to pass more tax cuts for billionaires that will blow up our national debt.
Raphael is a disabled Army veteran who worked at the VA in Seattle and played a critical role in processing servicemembers' disability benefits. He's received nothing but stellar performance reviews. Elon Musk fired him with ZERO justification. Help share his story.
Democrats absolutely do not want a shutdown and are working in good faith to fund the government—but we need to know Republicans are willing to work with us to protect Congress’s power of the purse. That is the absolute bare minimum—and it is frankly not asking a whole lot.
Republicans are full steam ahead to defund Medicaid and kick kids off their health care to pass more tax giveaways for billionaires—but YOUR story & YOUR voice can make a difference. Congress needs to hear from you—so my advice is to get loud. Here's how you can help fight back ⬇️
Last week, Elon took $8 MILLION with an M—as in ‘Musk can’t count’—and counted it as $8 BILLION with a B—as in ‘BS.’ That is not saving money—it is poor reading comprehension. He might be a joke, but none of this is funny—and he's creating actual fraud.
Spending isn't a “conspiracy” just because Musk doesn’t know how to read usaspending.gov. A program isn't waste just because it doesn’t help the richest man in the world. It isn't fraud just because he doesn’t like it. A law is not illegal just because he disagrees with it.
By crushing cancer research, what are Elon & Trump making more efficient? Their NIH funding cuts are illegal—so instead, they're suffocating the grant approval process for cancer researchers with so much red tape that labs & clinical trials will be forced to shut down.
Elon is firing HUNDREDS of highly skilled workers at Bonneville Power Administration. Engineers, dispatchers, lineworkers. These positions are funded by PNW ratepayers—NOT from federal funding. It doesn't save taxpayers a DIME! Our grid is at risk because Elon doesn't have a CLUE what BPA is.
Russia's brutal invasion of Ukraine began 3 years ago today. Trump might be curling up in Putin's lap, but I still stand with Ukraine in their fight to protect their people and their freedom. Like many Americans, I'm on Ukraine's side, not Putin's.
Trump and Musk are taking a wrecking ball to the U.S. government. Their illegal, arbitrary, and mass federal worker cuts undermine essential services for the American people—right down to the most basic functions of government, to break it beyond repair.
Gregg is a former Marine and Forest Service ranger. He's saved the lives of hikers dangling off a cliff or going through cardiac arrest, and he's bravely fought forest fires to save small rural towns. 100% of his salary is paid by WA state. Elon fired him. Share his story.
The scale and scope of Trump and Elon’s purge of federal workers will set our country back decades. You can't just fire everyone, gut critical agencies, halt funding to organizations across the country and think there won’t be massive consequences.
