House Republicans just betrayed the American people by bowing down to Trump. This is the largest cut to SNAP & Medicaid in U.S. HISTORY.
Republicans have shown us who they are and what they value. House Democrats stood unified against this bill and will continue to fight against GOP Tax Scam.
At 1 AM, House Republicans tried jamming through their “Big, Beautiful Bill” while Americans slept. We're now 13+ hours deep in Rules Committee — still fighting! They want to play games? Well Democrats brought the coffee, the conviction, and the Constitution.
I'm saddened to learn of the passing of RM @GerryConnolly. His lifelong dedication to public service and the people of #VA11 will not be forgotten. My deepest condolences go out to his family, staff and all who were touched by his leadership. May he rest in peace.
My Democratic colleagues and I stand with Rep. LaMonica McIver as she faces baseless charges for doing her job — being a check on the Trump Administration. We won’t be intimidated. We’ll keep fighting.
The Supreme Court just allowed the Trump administration to end TPS for 350,000 Venezuelans—people with legal status who work, pay taxes, and contribute to the economy. Ending their protections goes against Trump’s own claim to only target “criminals,” not families.
Remember when Republicans said late-night sessions were “not what the country needs or deserves” during the American Rescue Plan? Now they’re getting ready to make dramatic cuts to Medicaid and SNAP so they can give tax breaks for billionaires - in the dead of night. Hypocrisy on full display.
My prayers are with President Joe Biden and the entire Biden family during this difficult time. I know that he will battle this cancer diagnosis with strength and determination as shown throughout his career in public service. I'm wishing him the best during his health journey.
The Republican budget scam will make the largest cut to Medicaid in American history. They are playing politics - gambling with people's health coverage in order to give tax breaks to billionaires. Everyday people will die because of it. youtu.be/eaCuPQS433g
Happy Mother's Day! I want to extend my gratitude to my wonderful wife, my daughters as well as to all of the mothers in #NY05 and across the country. I hope you have a beautiful day spent with loved ones.
I had the pleasure of meeting with Kew Gardens Civic Association. We talked about how House Democrats are fighting in Washington, D.C., to save vital services for residents.
While Trump releases domestic terrorists who brutalized police officers on January 6th, he’s sending migrants to violent foreign prisons without due process for the crime of pursuing the American dream. This is far from law and order just more Trump chaos. www.cbsnews.com/news/trump-a...
Republicans have the majority and dictate what bills Congress votes on. Instead of improving the lives of hardworking Americans, they've prioritized renaming the Gulf of Mexico. Not lowering costs, not protecting healthcare, not helping working families.
Trump’s reckless tariffs are crashing the economy, causing grocery prices to skyrocket, & making everyday life more difficult for Americans. Republicans have no plan to address this issue and lower prices, but Democrats will continue to fight & hold them accountable! abcnews.go.com/GMA/Family/t...
