TSA employees are working without pay to keep Americans safe in the skies during this Republican-led DHS shutdown. Democrats are fighting to negotiate commonsense reforms, but Republicans refuse to show up and restore DHS funding.
Republicans promised Americans that the cost of basic necessities would be at an all-time low. They LIED. Families are paying more.
In #NY05, the average monthly grocery bill has reached $1,116. Sadly, hardworking families are feeling the strain of this affordability crisis.
Gas prices have climbed to $3.79 per gallon on average. Health care and grocery costs are already expensive, and Americans are struggling to afford the basics.
Taxpayer dollars should support working families and lowering costs, not ICE violence and a baseless war.

Republicans would rather keep DHS shut down than negotiate a bipartisan deal to rein in out of control ICE agents. They know ICE needs oversight but they still won’t support Democrats’ common sense reforms.
Taxpayers deserve accountability. Americans deserve better.

I’m wishing a happy Sikh New Year to all who celebrate. May the year ahead bring peace and prosperity to Sikh communities worldwide. #NY05
It's been ONE MONTH since the Republicans shutdown DHS. TSA agents have missed a full paycheck, there are travel delays nationwide, and masked ICE agents are still out of control.
Democrats remain ready to negotiate a bipartisan deal. When will Republicans get serious?
I’m heartbroken that we've lost six more service members in this war. My heart goes out to these brave Americans and their families, and I continue to pray for the safety of all our troops in the region. www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news...
I’m disturbed by the violent attack at Temple Israel in Michigan. Antisemitism is intolerable and has no place in our communities. My heart goes out to our Jewish neighbors across the country during this difficult time. www.bbc.com/news/article...
I'm deeply saddened by the passing of Major Sorffly Davius, a proud Queens native and decorated American patriot. My heartfelt condolences to his family and loved ones. We are grateful for his courage and lifelong service. His legacy won't be forgotten. haitiantimes.com/2026/03/11/s...
Democracy works best when every citizen participates. While Republicans are trying to make it harder for everyday Americans to vote, Democrats are fighting back to ensure all voices are heard. youtu.be/86H6FtqzNW0
The violent attack that happened outside of Gracie Mansion is deeply troubling. Political violence is never acceptable, and it has no place in our democracy. youtu.be/-trfEATuQQA
Happy #InternationalWomensDay! As we continue fighting for equality and justice for women around the world, I'm reminded how proud I am of the women in my family. Their strength, resilience, and compassion inspire me every day.
After years of unnecessary delay by the Speaker, the plaque honoring the heroism of Capitol Police during the Jan. 6 insurrection was installed in the dead of night & without a formal ceremony. The families, friends, & colleagues of the fallen officers deserve more. www.cnn.com/2026/03/07/p...
Kristi Noem is OUT. Now let’s see if Republicans are finally ready to get serious about bipartisan immigration reform. www.cnn.com/2026/03/05/p...
Democrats are on the House floor NOW fighting for a bipartisan War Powers Resolution because Trump is not a king. He cannot drag the American people to war without Congressional authorization. www.youtube.com/USHouseClerk...
Today, I joined with #USPS leaders and community members to unveil a new commemorative stamp honoring “the Greatest”, Muhammad Ali. Not only was he a decorated heavyweight champion, an Olympic gold medalist, and a fearless champion for justice and equality—he was also my friend.
Trump's war of choice is already costing us. Families are paying more at the pump and small businesses are feeling the squeeze because this Administration wants everyday Americans to foot the bill. apnews.com/article/iran...
This #WomensHistoryMonth, we honor the generations of women who have challenged injustice, broken barriers, shaped our communities, and inspire us to keep moving forward. Let’s continue to celebrate their contributions today and every day.
Kicking millions of people off food stamps and making the largest cut to SNAP in history does not lift up Americans or make groceries affordable. It makes it more difficult, and nearly impossible, for families to put food on the table.
