Happy 60th birthday to Medicare and Medicaid! Seniors, children, working parents, and people with disabilities receive the health care they need and live in dignity and greater financial security thanks to these life-saving programs.
Sadly, President Trump and Congressional Republicans passed a Big Ugly Law that strips away health care for 15 million Americans and weakens Medicare. I strongly opposed this law and stand with Americans who overwhelmingly want Congress to protect and strengthen Medicare and Medicaid.

Cuts to public media by President Trump and Congressional Republicans are already impacting TPT and MPR News. These cuts undermine our most reliable information source during emergencies like storms and floods.
The Big Ugly Law passed by Trump and House Republicans gives away massive tax breaks for billionaires and leaves Minnesotans to face the devastating consequences.
GOOD NEWS: The Trump administration will release $70 million they illegally withheld from Minnesota's public schools after hearing from me and Minnesota's Congressional Democrats, Attorney General Keith Ellison (@ag.state.mn.us), and 24 Democratic Attorneys General.
Article One of the Constitution gives Congress the power of the purse. I joined my House Democratic Colleagues urging the courts to stop Donald Trump’s illegal freeze of funding passed by Congress for our schools, our public safety, and our communities.
Today we celebrate 250 years of USPS connecting the American people — through snow, rain, heat, or dark of night, even amid revolution and recession. I'll continue to fight against privatization and stand up for the hardworking women and men who deliver for us.
The Big Ugly Law takes away Medicaid from millions of Americans, including those with disabilities. Americans with disabilities deserve recognition and respect, and to have their voices heard. I’m introducing a bipartisan resolution to designate July as Disability Pride Month.
I, along with the world, watch in horror as the Trump Administration buoys Prime Minister Netanyahu’s extremist right-wing government. No child on this planet should be starved when the United States has the capacity to feed them.
I took a stand today in the Appropriations Committee.
Republicans have clawed back over $9 Billion in federal funding for public broadcasting and foreign aid that passed on a bipartisan basis just months ago. They are quickly surrendering power to Trump and his unelected bureaucrats like Russ Vought, the author of Project 2025.
The Mississippi River is the source of drinking water for many of us in Minnesota. It’s also a vital ecosystem and economic connector for our nation. But it faces threats that disrupt this delicate balance. I was glad to speak to PBS about these challenges and how my legislation would address them.
It's official: According to the Congressional Budget Office, Trump's Big Ugly Bill will add a whopping $3,400,000,000,000 to the debt. Your share of this debt bill is $10,000 — that’s what every man, woman, and child in America now owes — all so millionaires and billionaires can get more tax breaks.

NEW: I'm leading nearly 50 Members of Congress in fighting back against Donald Trump's attacks on public broadcasting. Local public media outlets don't just keep us informed — they provide real-time information to keep Americans safe during emergencies and natural disasters.
As we celebrate Disability Pride Month this July, I'm proud to join Minnesotans in commemorating the 35th anniversary of the ADA. Today from 10AM-1PM, Minnesotans can celebrate the 3rd annual Disability Pride Festival at the State Capitol! More info at: selfadvocacy.org/disability-pride-festival
