Every House Democrat voted against this bill. Leading with my Minnesota values and using my vote to defend our communities, I will do everything I can to oppose this GOP Tax Scam.
🪙 Meanwhile, working-class and middle-class families receive pennies. A family earning $50,000 or less would receive less than a dollar per day in tax cuts.
💰 Why is the GOP cutting these services that Minnesotans rely on? So millionaires and billionaires can get huge, permanent tax cuts. Those earning a million dollars would get a $90,000 tax cut, more money than most Minnesotans make in a year.
🥗 19,000 Minnesotans living in the East Metro would lose food assistance — that could lead to the equivalent of every resident of Lake Elmo and Oak Park Heights going to sleep and waking up hungry every day.
🏥 20,730 of our neighbors would have their health care stripped away — that's like every man, woman, and child in Stillwater losing their health care.
The GOP Tax Scam passed by the House in May would take away food and health care from working people in order to hand out massive tax breaks to millionaires and billionaires. This weekend, I hosted a panel of experts for a town hall to discuss how it would harm Minnesotans if signed into law. 🧵
Protecting U.S. supply chains is a matter of national security – and a matter of bipartisan agreement. I’m pleased to work with Congressman Finstad to advance the world’s first rare-earth-free magnet manufacturing in Minnesota and help build our national and economic security.
Nothing justifies the heinous attack on peaceful marchers supporting Israeli hostages yesterday in Boulder, Colorado. My thoughts are with all those injured as they recover. Acts of hate and political violence have no place in our nation.
I am LIVE in Stillwater for my Medicaid Matters Town Hall with a panel of experts to discuss the impact of President Trump's tax scam on Minnesota's children, families, and seniors. Tune in! www.youtube.com/live/LNYSj4X...
I’m grateful to residents of Scandia Shores for welcoming me today for a town hall discussion. Minnesotans want Congress to protect Medicaid, Medicare, and nutrition assistance. I’ll always stand up for you!
On Memorial Day, we pay tribute to the heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice to defend our freedom. To honor their service to our nation, we must carry forward the values of freedom, liberty, and democracy that they devoted their lives to protecting.
Today, we mark five years since the murder of George Floyd and the global racial reckoning sparked by his death. As we honor his legacy, we must fight to protect the progress we've made in Minnesota while continuing the march toward racial and economic justice for all Americans.
Hidden in the Billionaire Tax Giveaway bill that Republicans rushed to pass in the dead of night are changes that could result in half a trillion dollars in cuts to Medicare.

I filed an amendment to block Medicaid cuts until it's proven they won't cause hospital closures or reduced care. Republicans rejected it.
I'm heartbroken by the killings of Israeli Embassy staffers Yaron Lischinsky and Sarah Milgrim last night in Washington, DC. My thoughts are with their families as they grieve this horrific act of antisemitic violence.
Political violence of any kind has no place in our nation.
It was easy to vote no on this bill. Leading with my Minnesota values, I will oppose any Republican efforts to cut Medicaid, Medicare, Social Security, Veterans’ benefits, and nutrition assistance for Minnesota families, especially when they’re made in service to millionaires and billionaires.
The President of the United States already has an Air Force One that is suitable for official travel. The new Air Force One should be built from the ground-up in America with union labor, not the gift of a foreign nation’s surplus flying palace.
The simple truth is that the Qatari airplane is not fit for use as Air Force One in its current state. Retrofitting this civilian aircraft will cost U.S. taxpayers millions of dollars that Congress has not appropriated.
President Trump’s decision to accept a gilded Boeing 747 from Qatar without Congressional approval, under questionable pretenses, is a flagrant violation of the Emoluments Clause.
