It’s been a busy week in Washington, and I'll be right back after a brief visit to my district.   I will continue to stand against the lawless Musk-Trump administration and demand accountability, no matter what it takes.
🚨Members of Congress were denied entrance at all access doors to the Department of Education this morning.   But you know if Elon Musk and his cronies show up, they'll let them right in.   The Musk-Trump admin want to slash public education and prevent Dems from conducting oversight.
The doors say ALL ACCESS ENTRANCE! They’re treating members of Congress as if we’re armed thugs.
A group of House Democrats tried and failed Friday to gain entry to the Department of Education to meet with the acting secretary. It is the fourth time this week that Democratic lawmakers have been blocked from entering a federal agency that has been targeted by Elon Musk's DOGE.
The Speaker of the House doesn't know what Elon Musk is doing. Neither do the GOP’s own 'expert witnesses.'   Yet they assert DOGE is better to combat waste and fraud than the Inspectors General that Trump fired.   Sounds to me like they know there's no oversight and don't care.
Today I confronted Speaker Johnson over Elon Musk's hostile takeover of the federal government because the American people deserve answers about how their private data is being used. If Republicans don't want to give me a seat at the table, I'll bring my own chair.
