Justice shouldn't be taxed. I am proud to support this bipartisan legislation to exempt sexual abuse and assault settlements from taxes, a significant step toward fairness for survivors.
My statement on the decision to overturn Act 10 in Wisconsin:
🚨"Elon Musk wants to 'delete' a federal agency designed to prevent another financial crisis and protect people from scams"
This would be a gift to scammers & cheats. The only ones cheering for its dismantling are the ones who profit off your misfortune.

Let's be clear: Trump's tariffs would drive up the cost of everyday goods, including food. Higher prices at the grocery store hurt America's families, making it harder to put meals on the table.

Via Yahoo Finance: Biden hits new milestone before leaving office: 20 million small business applications
"This growth in new small businesses is the biggest for a president since records began to be kept in 2004."

We're adding members here every day! Give House Democrats a follow.
Thanksgiving dinner is more affordable than in years, thanks to the Biden administration’s efforts.
But Trump’s tariffs could spike prices—just ask Walmart’s CFO.
Do you like your suitcase? Under the Biden administration, we're cracking down on junk fees on things like baggage!
Americans deserve to know the full price up-front when they are booking trips, not to be surprised at the airport.

When I was 19, pre-Roe, I needed an abortion.
Because of my college connections, I had a network of white feminist women who helped me get to New York for care.
I never looked back, I was never sorry, and I will never stop fighting to restore abortion rights for all.

Another colleague on! Welcome welcome!
November is National Diabetes Month. No person should be forced to ration their insulin, which is why Democrats are lowering the cost of health care.
While Democrats have capped the cost of insulin at $35 for seniors on Medicare, every Republican in Congress voted NO.

Trump’s plan for Medicare? Handing the program, & the health of millions of seniors, over to private insurance companies who only care about profits.
He doesn’t care about the quality of your health care. He cares about making his rich friends even richer. www.npr.org/sections/sho...
Tax cuts don’t pay for themselves.
So.
MAGA Republicans are targeting your healthcare and retirement so they can give billionaires tax cuts.
I’ve created a Starter Pack of House Democrats (and committee) accounts! I’ll continue adding as more of us join.
No matter what dysfunction we may face in the coming months and years, House Democrats are here in the People’s House to fight for the people — it’s simple.

It would be wonderful if the next AG pick doesn’t have sexual assault allegations or was in any way qualified and independent, but, it’s Trump, so no one should hold their breath that he won’t treat the DOJ as his personal law firm and grievance machine.
Combatting terrorism and ensuring proper oversight of tax benefits should be bipartisan priorities.
However, without the opportunity to debate and address well founded concerns over certain provisions upon its reconsideration in the House, I voted NO on HR 9495.
Happy Birthday, Mr. President!
President Biden has been a historic leader, and I am so proud of all we have accomplished.

I am joining nearly 100 of my colleagues in calling for the immediate release of the Gaetz report from the House Ethics Committee.
Representative Gaetz’s resignation from Congress must not obstruct the Senate’s capacity to carry out its constitutional duties.
