What we don't acknowledge, we can't fix. This isn’t a simple fix, but the solution begins with limiting access to guns. Every gun violence tragedy in America is a heartbreaking reminder: We need a comprehensive approach to this epidemic, including allowing the CDC to study gun violence.
Heartbroken over today’s tragic school shooting in Madison. The loss of life is devastating, and my heart are with those who survived, their loved ones, and everyone forever impacted by this senseless violence. Our children deserve to be safe in school.

Adding a dozen more today and new accounts daily! Give House Dems a follow.
I’ve created a Starter Pack of House Democrats (and committee) accounts! I’ll continue adding as more of us join. No matter what dysfunction we may face in the coming months and years, House Democrats are here in the People’s House to fight for the people — it’s simple. go.bsky.app/QcpzVmz

Birthright citizenship is enshrined in the Constitution as a cornerstone of American ideals. It reflects our belief that America is the land of opportunity.   Sadly, this is just another in the long line of Trump’s assault on the U.S. Constitution.
Another way to think about this: Republicans want us to work until we die so they can give the billionaires and big corporations another fat tax cut
Rep. Mark Alford: "It's gonna mean cuts to the 24 percent of the discretionary spending that we have. And it's also going to mean looking long term at the front end of some programs like Social Security and Medicare ... we can move the retirement age back a little bit."

Destroying the CFPB is a win for the wealthy few and a loss for the millions of Americans who depend on it to keep financial predators in check. Predatory lenders, credit card traps, and hidden fees will thrive without someone holding them accountable.
