The 6G race is about national security, economic security, & our standing in the world. That's why I reintroduced the FUTURE Networks Act, which unites communications, academia, public interest orgs, & gov't to accelerate U.S. leadership in next-gen communications. matsui.house.gov/media/press-...
It was great to meet with @ucdavishealth.bsky.social's Leadership team to discuss their 2025 priorities. As we face uncertain times regarding our healthcare, it is important to be a united front to fight back against the possible impacts of the Trump Administration’s proposed program cuts.
It was great to hear my dear friend, former Rep. Anna Eshoo, reflect on her lifetime of public service at the @ucberkeleyofficial.bsky.social's Matsui Center. From increasing access to cancer treatments to expanding children’s health care, Anna's accomplishments will endure for generations to come.
It was a pleasure to join the Cosumnes Community Services District’s Interim General Manager, Fire Chief, and Senior Staff to discuss the active projects at the Service District and their general priorities for 2025. I applaud their continued commitment to keeping our community safe and thriving.
Americans cannot afford uncertainty when it comes to live-saving vaccines. I joined in requesting info from HHS about their decision to bypass expert input in the flu vaccine strain selection process and how they plan to ensure transparency and scientific integrity in future vaccine decisions.
If you’re a good pilot, you’re a good pilot. Your sex, race, or religion has nothing to do with it.   Women pilots meet the same standards, undergo the same training, and show the same skill and dedication as male pilots. The narrative that says otherwise is wrong. We stand with our women pilots.
The purge of DOI, NOAA, & USFS offices is an attack on the public servants who work to protect our economy & natural resources. That’s why I signed a letter to the GSA to demand these closures be halted & stress how this threatens communities by eliminating jobs & gutting essential services.
Public broadcasting provides lifesaving info in times of crisis & supports educational content that parents nationwide rely on. That’s why I led a letter to FCC Chairman Carr emphasizing the importance of federal funding for public radio & TV in preserving local communities across the country.
📣 CONSTITUENT SERVICES TODAY📣 Today, March 26, my staff will be holding office hours to help you navigate federal agencies. Stop by the Elk Grove Food Bank from 9am-12pm to learn about the resources and support you have during these uncertain times.
President Trump is creating an energy crisis by blocking clean energy projects & firing federal employees responsible for maintaining our energy infrastructure. We cannot let Trump & Elon Musk gamble with our critical infrastructure—the consequences could be catastrophic. youtu.be/BC9ltq10Ba8
Unequal pay is unacceptable. No matter the education level, women are paid less than men—women of color are paid even less. Women and families deserve better. My @demwomencaucus.bsky.social colleagues and I won’t stop fighting until the gap is closed. #EqualPay
The @kaiser-permanente.bsky.social Railyards Hospital sends a clear message: here in Sacramento we’re moving forward on all cylinders and ensuring Sacramentans can get the care they need. We're building the kind of infrastructure that strengthens our region from the inside out.
I had a productive meeting with Councilmember Phil Pluckebaum to discuss his vision for the City of Sacramento. Our local leaders have a lot of responsibility. During these challenging times, it'll require us to work together and be proactive for our community. I look forward to working together.
It was wonderful to speak at Habitat for Humanity Greater Sacramento’s Women Build event and to celebrate #WomensHistoryMonth! Events like the Folsom Project show exactly why building strong communities takes collaboration across a lot of people — especially STRONG WOMEN! 💪💗
It was great meeting with @ucdavis.bsky.social Chancellor & Executive Vice Chancellor Mary Croughan to discuss the university’s priorities that impact Sacramento. Trump & DOGE’s on federal funding attacks would impact UC Davis’ ability to conduct research & do future projects with federal agencies.
Shutting down the @usedgov.bsky.social would have dire consequences that will impact our most underserved for generations. Trump cannot abolish the Department of Education without an act of Congress. I will fight to protect our children and grandchildren from being deprived of their future.
The National Center of Excellence for Eating Disorders is the only federally-funded entity focused on research, education, and resources for the millions of Americans with eating disorders. That’s why I led a letter urging Secretary Kennedy to continue funding The Center.
