It was wonderful meeting with the Solidigm leadership and touring their facilities.
As the Democratic lead on the original CHIPS Act, I was pleased to hear about their plan to secure its supply chain from Chinese companies and outline its vision in the Sacramento region.
Spoke at the National Association of State Energy Officials' conference about the challenges facing our electric grid & the need to work together to cut emissions.
It's time to end the political games & forge a realistic path forward that safeguards our future while still meeting our energy needs.
My office has received hundreds of calls from concerned constituents in our district. Thank you for making your voices heard.

As House Sustainable Energy & Environment Coalition Co-Chair, I join my colleagues in condemning Trump's freeze on federal programs that are delivering lower energy costs for families & businesses.
He’s stealing from the American people. It must stop immediately.

My fellow @energycommerce.bsky.social Ranking Members and I are demanding answers about the Trump Administration's reckless actions to withhold federal funding.
The American people deserve answers.
Today’s @energycommerce.bsky.social hearing claimed to be about “unleashing American energy”—but the truth is far from it. President Trump is freezing funding for energy projects and giving Elon Musk privileged access to sensitive data.
I urge my colleagues—will you stand up for our democracy?
Everyday Americans & Sacramentans are being hurt by President Trump's illegal actions. I share your frustration & I’m here with you to fight back against Trump & his lawlessness.
Resisting his actions will be a long fight — but I’m committed, & I know you are too.

Elon Musk is acting with no oversight, and no transparency as to what he intends to do with millions of Americans' personal and sensitive information. There is no justifiable reason for this overreach.
I will fight with all available avenues to stop this madness.
“I can confirm he’s a special government employee,” White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt replied. “I can also confirm that he has abided by all applicable federal laws. As for his security clearance, I’m not sure, but I can check back with you.”

Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth ordered the Department of Defense (DoD) to stop funding out of state travel for female service members seeking reproductive care. This will prevent our service members from accessing care in states that have restrictions.
This is a cruel attack on service women.
I've always been proud to be an American and seeing new citizens reinforced my commitment to the principles that make our union strong.
It was an honor to congratulate 800 new Americans on their citizenship in Sacramento.
Watching them take their Oath of Allegiance was a powerful reminder that America is a land of courage, optimism, ingenuity and opportunity for ALL of her peoples.
The victims of Trump's trade war will be everyday Americans.
These tariffs will only result in higher costs on essential goods and groceries. American families deserve better.

Public television and radio are essential for their local communities.
The FCC must not be weaponized to intimidate and silence broadcast media. We should be supporting, not undermining, their contributions to journalism and the marketplace of ideas.

Today, January 30, my staff will be available in person from 9am-12pm if you need help navigating a federal agency. If you stop by, we can assist with obtaining reliable information and making inquiries on your behalf.
For those in the Sacramento region who celebrate, I wish you a joyful #LunarNewYear. 🎆🐍
This new year is the year of the snake — which represents wisdom, transformation, and leadership.
President Trump is pushing an illegal scheme to freeze federal funding—cutting off funding for housing, health care, and emergency services.
This will hurt taxpayers and families.

As @energycommerce.bsky.social Subcommittee on Communications & Technology Ranking Member, I’m pleased that our first 2025 hearing is on spectrum.
If we’re going to remain the pacesetter for global innovation & close the digital divide, then we need to maintain consistency in our spectrum policy.
