Rather than looking out for Americans and investing in health care, the Republican trifecta slashed coverage just to ensure their billionaire friends could pay less in taxes. As a result, 37.4 million Americans will be uninsured in a decade. www.budget.senate.gov/ranking-memb...
We need to ban Congressional stock trading. Unfortunately, the House proposal is a smokescreen for real reform: allowing Members to still hold and sell their stocks in office. We need a STRONG bill—it’s a betrayal of the American people to pass something half baked.
What do Caesar, King George III, and Trump have in common? They all put their face on a coin to symbolize their imperial power. But wait, the U.S. is not a kingdom, Trump is not a king, and his face doesn't belong on a coin.
Trump’s cruel and inhumane detention policies are inflicting lasting trauma and harm on kids and families. Wrong under every moral code. My Children’s Safe Welcome Act would shut down Dilley and facilities like it. We need to get this passed.
MERKLEY: There are reports that we have hit numerous desalination plants in Iran. Were those deliberate? CAINE: I'm not aware of those being particular targets, nor am I aware of those reports M: You're aware infrastructure civilians rely on is not generally considered a genuine military target?
My heart is with families who lost their homes this week in fires including the Lower Dry Creek Fire in Umatilla County and the Hoag Creek Fire in Gilliam County. Grateful to the firefighters and first responders working around the clock to keep Oregon communities safe!
Thousands of lightning strikes across Oregon this week ignited many already devastating wildfires. My team and I are closely monitoring these fires and coordinating with state and local officials. Thank you to the firefighters and first responders working hard to keep Oregonians safe.
We honor the memory and work of the Civil Rights champion Congressman John Lewis, and we carry his legacy with us for the challenges ahead. The work to save our republic requires all of us, right now.
