¡Feliz Cinco de Mayo!
Today we celebrate Mexican heritage and culture—and honor the countless contributions Mexican Americans have made in Rhode Island and the country.
In Rhode Island, we kinda have a sore spot when it comes to kings.
Just saying…
Happy #RhodeIslandIndependenceDay!
249 years ago today Rhode Island made history by becoming the first colony to sever ties with the British Crown and become independent.
Happy Independence Day, Rhode Island - where bravery and the pursuit of liberty still runs deep!
The new Centreville Bank Stadium, home of Rhode Island FC lives up to the hype!
Congrats to all involved in making Rhode Island the next big thing in pro soccer!
I’ll work with anyone to build an economy that works for working Rhode Islanders.
But when one side is pushing for trillions in tax breaks for the wealthiest Americans who have already rigged the system for themselves?
That I can never get behind.
May is Jewish American Heritage Month—a time to celebrate members of the Jewish faith who contribute to our country’s culture and history.
May is a time to honor Judaism and stand against hate.

Trump’s tax bill is a good deal for billionaires. But for the middle class? It’s loaded up with cuts to healthcare, SNAP and other essential programs—all to pay for tax cuts for people at the very top.
Today, @magaziner.house.gov highlights how the Republican Budget Bill hurts working people.
More than 1 in 5 American adults struggle with mental illness.
This #MentalHealthAwarenessMonth, be sure to check in on those you love and take some time for yourself too.
And remember: People love you and are there for you.
Day 3 of speaking on the House floor every day until the Trump Admin restores @edesianutrition.bsky.social's funding to feed malnourished children.
This is not just about saving lives - our national security depends on strong relationships in the developing world.
Ever wonder the key to keeping a Congressional office running smoothly?
Interns!
Thank you to our DC office spring interns on wrapping up their semester. I can’t wait to see what you accomplish next. 🎓💼
It looks like people are finally seeing what we in RI see every day: Warwick is a welcoming place with a rich history, and it's growing by the minute.
When you can take in scenic views of Rocky Point State Park then finish your day with some stuffies, what’s not to love?
Day 2. I am speaking out on the floor every session day until @edesianutrition.bsky.social’s funding is restored.
Edesia’s US-made emergency nutrition has reached 25M+ children in crisis around the world, arriving in a box stamped: From the American People.
This is patriotism—and it’s at risk.
Congratulations to my friend Val Lawson on your election as the second woman in history to lead the RI Senate, and to Frank Ciccone on election to Majority Leader.
I look forward to working with you to move our state forward.

After 100 days of this administration, is there hope?
Yes.
They’ve reversed some of their worst policies because of public pushback.
We just need to keep pushing over the next 100 days & beyond while elevating the voices of those most impacted.
We can, and we will.
The first 100 days of Trump’s administration have made his priorities clear: Donald Trump is not working for Americans.
He’s working for the same billionaires that flanked him during his inauguration on day 1.
And he has no plans of stopping.
In 100 days, Trump has smeared our image on the national stage, undermining allies (fighting with Zelenskyy on live TV, gutting USAID, and more) while emboldening adversaries.
All while failing to present a clear strategy to keep Americans safe.
In 100 days, Trump has gutted the Department of Education, the agency responsible for hundreds of millions of dollars to RI public schools each year.
A completely destructive - and illegal - move made by people who never have to worry about their kids' education.
