Proud to see Hudson County launching the Blue Envelope program to help create safer, more supportive interactions between law enforcement and individuals with autism. Autism awareness must be part of everything we do—especially when it comes to public safety. 👏
Republicans have brought the House to a standstill, canceled votes, and won’t bring us back for weeks. Why? Because they don't want to vote on releasing the Epstein files. House Rs want to make it seem like everything is completely normal. It’s not, and we called them on it.
The Trump Administration officially ended dedicated LGBTQ+ services through 988 last week. To our friends and neighbors who are experiencing a mental health or substance-related crisis: you are not alone, and there are resources available to you.
SNAP and nutrition assistance programs keep food on the table and lifesaving care within reach for thousands of New Jersey families. @housedemocrats.bsky.social won’t stand by while Republicans continue to wage a war on working families and their dignity.
Republicans rolled back ACA support while also cutting Medicaid—& millions of Americans will feel the impact soon. In NJ-08, the average ACA premium increase will be $1,210 next year—forcing families to make impossible choices about their health care. This isn’t just politics, it’s people’s lives.
I’m signing on to Rep. Golden’s effort to force a vote on legislation to protect collective bargaining for federal employees. Republicans must choose: stand with working people or those who continue to silence them. I’ll always stand with the workers who serve this country every day. 👊
That's why I’m proud to cosponsor bipartisan legislation that accelerates innovation of PFAS-free turnout gear and strengthens the safety of those who keep our communities safe.
We went BTS two weeks ago to highlight Leader Jeffries' historic speech and @housedemocrats.bsky.social fight to try and stop the Republicans’ terrible, no-good sh*t bill. The Republican chaos has only continued since then, but we aren’t backing down. 💪 #TBT #ThrowbackThursday
Our local public radio stations—WFMU, WQXR, NJ Public Radio, and more—keep our communities informed, safe, and connected every day. Republican cuts to their funding would be devastating. I'll always fight for them and our community.
Weaponizing some of the most sensitive data that exists does not make our country safer. It’s simply another dangerous escalation of this Admin’s attacks on immigrant communities. This puts ALL of us at risk—whether you were born here or not. House Democrats will stand united against this.
BREAKING: ICE officials will gain access to personally identifiable information for all Medicaid enrollees, according to an agreement obtained by the AP.
Had a productive conversation with NJEA leaders who are doing incredible work despite growing challenges. As the Trump Admin pushes for massive cuts, I’m fighting to protect and invest in our schools—because every child deserves a quality education, no matter their zip code.
That's why I hosted a roundtable alongside my @hispaniccaucus.bsky.social colleagues and advocates to highlight the harm Trump’s cuts would cause to our public transit systems & to present a better path forward.
Talking recycling in @energycommerce.bsky.social today—an issue that's vital to our environment & our economy. Extended Producer Responsibility policies hold industries responsible for the lifecycle of their products & move us toward a more sustainable future.
