Russell Vought said he wanted to put the federal workforce in trauma. His actions and Trump’s purge and persecution of FBI agents involved in January 6th Capitol insurrection investigations is taking its toll as their families live in fear.

Congratulations to the @philadelphiaeagles.bsky.social on their Superbowl win last night — especially Richmond native Mekhi Becton! 💚🦅
"People don’t make it out of Richmond from where I’m from. I’m not supposed to be here right now. I was thinking about that and thinking about all the people watching me back home. I was doing it for them, man." Congratulations Mekhi!
The first casualty of the American Revolution was Crispus Attucks. The first to fall during the Boston Massacre on March 5, 1770, he became a martyr for American colonists eager to break from British rule. #BlackHistoryMonth #BHM2025

The Trump-Vance Administration’s proposed cuts to NIH will cost American lives and set us back in our medical research and innovation. In Virginia, these cuts threaten thousands of jobs and hundreds of millions of dollars in funding and economic activity.
Graphic. Title is “IMPACT OF NIH FUNDING IN VIRGINIA.” Text reads, “NIH AWARDS FUNDING: $664 MILLION. JOBS SUPPORTED: 7,684. ECONOMIC ACTIVITY SUPPORTED: $1.73 BILLION.” Logo of Rep. McClellan is present at the bottom center of the page.
I was honored to join Mount Calvary Baptist Church in Hopewell to celebrate #BlackHistoryMonth and share my journey from the Tri-Cities area to becoming the first Black woman to represent Virginia in Congress. Together, we can build the Beloved Community out of chaos.

As bird flu outbreaks impact hundreds of thousands of chickens in Virginia and reports of cases in cows arise, I joined @beyer.house.gov, @bobbyscott.house.gov, @connolly.house.gov, @repsuhas.bsky.social, and @repvindman.bsky.social to demand that the CDC restart bird flu reports immediately.
I’m a proud member of @newdems.bsky.social leadership. Today, we endorsed two bills to fight back against the Musk-Trump-Vance Administration’s efforts to spark a trade war, violate Americans’ privacy, and seize power.
New Dem Leadership is proud to support two bills that will protect Americans from higher costs & protect their private data from ending up in the wrong hands (Elon Musk). Learn more about why New Dems are fighting to pass this legislation in Congress ⬇️
Today, I wear red for women’s heart health. Cardiovascular disease is the No. 1 killer of women. Cardiovascular disorders are the leading cause of maternal mortality for Black women. I’m working in Congress to reduce these risks. #WearRedDay

ICYMI: I joined a roundtable hosted by @hoyer.house.gov and  @connolly.house.gov with federal employee and civil service organizations to coordinate a united front against the Trump Administration’s unprecedented assault on the federal workforce and services. Read more ⬇️

Our federal workforce has been traumatized by the Trump-Vance Administration’s relentless attacks. It’s a play right out of Project 2025. Senate Republicans betrayed our federal workforce by confirming the architect of these attacks as OMB Director. Read my full statement. ⬇️
I joined @housedemocrats.bsky.social to oppose RFK Jr.’s confirmation as Secretary of Health. We’ve come too far addressing disparities in healthcare to turn HHS over to an anti-vax conspiracy theorist who peddles racist tropes about Black people needing different vaccination schedules.
