More than three-quarters of Americans oppose the Republican health care costs hike! @housedemocrats.bsky.social want to stop the cuts, lower costs & save health care. The people are on our side. Let’s open government and address the GOP health care crisis.
Republicans’ Big, Ugly Law is kicking millions off SNAP, their shutdown is threatening November payments, and Trump’s tariffs are straining already stretched budgets.   Met with RI Food Bank about helping RI’ers keep food on the table & my work to stop this Republican hunger crisis.
Grocery costs are skyrocketing. Health care costs are going through the roof. But Trump’s focusing on his $250 million ballroom to host his billionaire friends.
Demolition crews have begun tearing down part of the White House to build President Trump’s long-desired ballroom — despite his pledge that construction of the $250 million addition wouldn’t “interfere” with the existing building. https://wapo.st/4hl7jyF
Americans across the political spectrum want Republicans to solve their health care crisis. Spoke with Brooke Shafer on News Nation about how House Republicans must come to the table & negotiate a deal to lower costs, reopen the government, & save our constituents’ health care.
Happy Birthday @whitehouse.senate.gov! From working for Team Whitehouse in 2006 to serving the people of Rhode Island in Washington today, it’s a pleasure to work by your side to create a brighter future for our Ocean State. 🎂
Trump's Big, Ugly Law is an assault on the food and health programs Americans rely on.   Now, House Republicans are keeping the government shut down risking Rhode Islanders' November SNAP benefits.   Thankful RI Community Food Bank is filling the gap, I am fighting to reverse the cuts.
Honored to support Rhode Islanders walking to end Alzheimer’s. Each step brings us closer to a cure.  I’m working in Congress to reverse cuts to vital research and ensure every RIer can access & afford health care.
🪏Broke ground today to transform Lincoln’s old Sayles Company Dye House mill into 124 new apartments!   Grateful for dedication from federal, state & local partners on this project that expands affordable housing access in the Blackstone Valley.
Shared my work on @houseforeign.bsky.social to combat global malnutrition & support essential global alliances with high school Model UN participants at Wheeler School. I hope I saw some future diplomats for the diplomacy we need now more than ever.
D.C. Republicans are stealing from Rhode Islanders.  They want to jack up costs for hardworking families. I’m fighting to reopen the government and put money back in your pocket.
Great to close out Hispanic Heritage Month at Aging Well in Woonsocket! Their new LaPlacita space provides seniors a place to gather that feels like home. I’ll keep advocating for all seniors to have the resources they need to thrive.
The Italo American Club of Rhode Island is the oldest Italian-American club in the country! Congratulations to the scholarship winners and Liz Catucci of Partnership for RI for your well-deserved recognition as the 2025 Italo American Club Person of the Year.
Congratulations to Col. Ryan Hurt, the new commander of the 143d Airlift Wing. Thank you to Col. Adam Wiggins for your dedication to the Rhode Island Air National Guard.  Supporting our service members, veterans, and military families is a sacred obligation.
Rhode Islanders have led the fight against tyranny since America’s founding. In Providence, Portsmouth, East Providence, and across RI, we rallied today to send a message to Donald Trump: America’s a democracy, and there shall be #NoKings.
As energetic and passionate City Year PVD members start their service year, I’m committed to Congress increasing funding for Americorps to ensure they can continue to make a difference in our communities.
Joined behavioral & mental health providers at Butler Hospital to discuss Republicans' Big, Ugly Law cutting $1.5 trillion from health care and their refusal to extend health tax credits for 40,000 RIers.   I'm fighting to lower costs & reduce barriers to care.
Trump’s attempt to fire the entire special education staff @usedgov.bsky.social during the Republican shutdown will hurt the 26,000 Rhode Island students who rely on federal special education services. It’s illegal, it’s immoral, and it’s hurting kids.
