🚨Vaccine rates have declined so much communities don’t have widespread immunity because of RFK, Jr. and his cadre of vaccine deniers. This should not be happening in 2025. I’m supporting the Family Vaccine Protection Act to restore trust in science & stop preventable disease.
🚨Trump and Republicans are driving up the cost of health insurance for Rhode Islanders. 🚨   Their Big, Ugly Law is causing premiums to skyrocket, I’m co-sponsoring a bill to permanently renew the premium tax credits and make sure Rhode Islanders can afford their health care.
Last weekend, marine trades leaders at the Newport International Boat Show shared how Trump’s tariffs are crushing their industry. I’m fighting to end these tariffs to add jobs & grow innovation in a key part of the Ocean State’s economy.
Proud to celebrate the invaluable contributions of our Latino and Hispanic communities across the First Congressional District. Happy Hispanic Heritage Month!
Had a great time listening to local musicians at the 2025 Bristol Porchfest! 🎶 With 26 acts across 16 porches this year, I'm always thrilled to listen to such talented members of our community!
The Warren Heritage Foundation does great work preserving the town’s historic character and architecture. Celebrated the foundation and all that makes Warren special at the 11th Annual Gala at Blount Boats!
Dell Padgett brought the R&B sound to Rhode Island as a member of the 1950s R&B Doo-Wop group, the Castaleers! Great to see Providence come together to christen “Padgett Way” in his honor!
Thanks to all who came out. If you are a veteran and need help with a VA claim or another Federal agency, give my office a call at 401-729-5600 or my website. Link in bio 🔗
Celebrated Foster Forward’s phenomenal work supporting Rhode Island youth and families at their 30th Annual Gala. They’ve done incredible work supporting and improving Rhode Island’s child welfare system — changing lives every step of the foster care journey.
Joined advocates, families & those in recovery at the Rally for Recovery in Providence. I spoke about expanding naloxone access w/ efforts like my bipartisan HOPE Act, which puts naloxone in public places, and building a future without stigma where everyone has a second chance.
The Newport International Boat Show is back this weekend!🛥️ Proud to champion the growth of Rhode Island’s Blue Economy, workforce development, and innovation in the marine industry with the RI Marine Trade Association.
Visited with a great group of Rhode Island small business owners and community leaders at the Diversity Business Exhibit.    Even got a signed copy of young RI entrepreneur Hasana Spellman’s custom designed notebook!
The new federally-funded updates at the Port of Davisville will turbocharge Rhode Island’s Blue Economy through: 🦺Supporting good jobs 💡Spurring innovation ⚡Lowering energy costs   It’s a major win for the Ocean State to increase shipping capacity and secure our role as a renewable energy hub.
🚨Bringing $8 million for mental health services back to Rhode Island 🚨 Grateful for the partnership to support our community.
NEW: $8M for Bradley Hospital’s dedicated mental health professionals to boost research & strengthen services. This federal grant will help build a new facility to improve pediatric psychiatric research & make it easier to access top-notch services in one centralized, modern facility.
Helped defeat an amendment to further restrict offshore wind in the annual defense bill yesterday with @repjoecourtney.bsky.social and @magaziner.house.gov. We must keep pushing to protect working Rhode Islanders.
An industrial painter from Pawtucket was looking forward to joining the roughly 1,000 local union workers that have raked in 2 million hours building a new wind farm off Rhode Island’s coast.
Funding for care professionals is at risk from cuts to Medicaid in Trump’s Big, Ugly Law. This #DSPweek, I took to the House floor to urge my Republican colleagues to protect health workers like Amy from Woonsocket and roll back Medicaid cuts.
