In 2024, antisemitic incidents in the United States were the highest number on record for the sixth year in a row. As Jewish American Heritage Month ends, we are reminded to never give up on the fight to combat antisemitism.
After 19 days on the picket line, @iamunion.bsky.social members at Pratt & Whitney stood strong and won a contract that improves job security, wages, and retirement. These 3,000 workers take pride in their craft and secured a strong contract. 💪
One of the highlights of my job is nominating local students to U.S. service academies. If you want to learn more about the process and opportunities, join us for a Service Academy Info Session this Thursday, May 29, at Camden County College.
Trump and House Republicans have turned their backs on working families, children, seniors, veterans, and people with disabilities. Their agenda is crystal clear: protect the ultra-wealthy at the cost of seniors, children, and families.
It’s been 16 years since the last federal minimum wage increase. We all know that $7.25 an hour is not even close to a livable wage. It is long past time we raised the federal minimum wage, and the fact that we still haven’t is a national embarrassment.
Five years ago, George Floyd’s senseless death spurred a long overdue conversation about the importance of restoring trust and faith between law enforcement and communities. In Camden, we’ve seen what happens when that conversation leads to action.
I helped secure additional @EPA Brownfields funding for the Camden Redevelopment Agency to clean up and revitalize local lands. Protecting our communities from harmful waste and turning these sites into valuable community assets for our neighborhoods is a priority of mine.
Today, we celebrate 82 years since the commissioning of the Battleship NJ, the most decorated battleship in U.S. Navy history. I’m honored to have played a role in bringing the Battleship home to Camden and will continue working to ensure her legacy is preserved and remembered for years to come.
25 years ago, former Assemblywoman Patricia Egan Jones, a team of community leaders, and I brought the most decorated battleship in US Navy history, the Battleship New Jersey, home.
From shipbuilders to longshore workers to sailors, maritime workers have been instrumental in building our economy and defending our country. Today, and every day, we thank them for their service and contributions.
On this day in 1919, the House passed the 19th Amendment, securing women’s right to vote. South Jersey’s own Alice Paul led the charge, and countless women fought for this victory. I’m honored to join the Equal Rights Amendment Caucus in continuing the fight for true equality under the Constitution.
The bipartisan budget office just confirmed it: the Republican tax scam cuts healthcare and food assistance for millions of working families and seniors to foot the bill for billionaire tax handouts. Their plan isn’t about helping the middle class, it's about helping the rich get richer.
