Four years ago, the American Rescue Plan was signed into law, helping to stabilize our economy by creating millions of new jobs and nearly doubling GDP growth. Today Republicans are working to roll back these gains for the American people, cutting jobs and taking money out of your wallet.
Proud to stand with @ivey.house.gov and all our @laborcaucus.bsky.social members in the fight for workers, which has never been more relevant. Together, we’re building the strongest pro-labor coalition Congress has ever seen.
Welcome back to the @nlrbgov.bsky.social, Gwynne Wilcox! The @laborcaucus.bsky.social and I called for her reinstatement & I'm glad to see the courts got it right. Workers need strong advocates on the board so those subjected to illegal union-busting will be able to receive the justice they deserve.
Americans should not have to sacrifice their healthcare to satisfy Trump's tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans and big corporations. Cutting Medicaid funding rips healthcare away from families and forces healthcare providers to raise costs for everyone.
Cape May's Harriet Tubman Museum of New Jersey pays tribute to the life and fortitude of one of America's greatest heroes and the history of abolitionist activism in South Jersey. www.harriettubmanmuseum.org
Today we celebrate Harriet Tubman’s life and honor her courage, sacrifice, and leadership that helped liberate hundreds of people.
Tomorrow is Daylight Savings! Make sure to set your clocks forward one hour tonight.
As the founder of the National Women’s Party, she introduced the Equal Rights Amendment in 1923 and continued to submit the amendment every year until she passed away. Her legacy continues to inspire the fight for equality today.
On International Women’s Day, I’m remembering South Jersey’s own Alice Paul, who was an unstoppable force in the fight for women's rights.
We must never stop fighting for justice and civil liberties for all, especially in the face of renewed attacks against our democratic institutions.
60 years ago today on Bloody Sunday, John Lewis and civil rights demonstrators bravely marched for the right to vote.
I was honored to be shown around Selma by John, an experience I will never forget.
The PRO Act protects the right to join a union by:
✔️ Holding employers accountable for violating workers’ rights
✔️ Empowering workers to organize without fear of retaliation
✔️ Securing free, fair, and safe union elections
It is time to stand with workers and pass the #PROAct.
I first met Rich back in the 80s at a union hall in Cherry Hill, where he was collecting donations to support striking coal miners. The #PROAct strengthens union protections, and I can think of no better person to name this critical piece of legislation after than Rich.
At its core, the #PROAct carries on the legacy of Richard Trumka, by promoting worker solidarity, giving hard working women and men a voice in their workplace, and holding accountable corporate bosses who violate workers’ rights.
I spoke with @lizshuler.bsky.social and Kieran Cuadras, a Wells Fargo Workers United member who was fired for organizing her branch. Captive audience meetings like the ones she faced show exactly why we need the #PROAct.
I know firsthand how important it is to protect workers from unfair labor practices—because I lived it. That’s why I was proud to introduce the Protecting the Right to Organize Act. 🧵

Last month, we led 265 bipartisan Members of Congress in calling for the reinstatement of NLRB Member Gwynne Wilcox. Today, a federal judge agreed with us and ruled that Wilcox must be reinstated immediately.
This is a major win for workers' rights✊
Hard-working men and women keep this country running every day. As a union electrician, I’ll never stop fighting for a fair day's pay for a hard day's work. #EmployeeAppreciationDay
Yesterday, I had the honor of welcoming @uaw.org Local 1069 to discuss their vital work in building the next fleet of American-made aircrafts. It’s always great to stand with my brothers and sisters in the labor movement.
While Trump and House Republicans offer tax cuts to the wealthiest Americans and big corporations, they leave everyone else behind. His cuts to Medicaid will rip healthcare away from millions of Americans, including 16,000 seniors in our community.
