Today, @ushousefsc.bsky.social held an urgent roundtable to address Trump's attacks on the Federal Reserve's independence. We must rein in Trump's brazen power grab, including his unlawful attempt to fire Gov. Lisa Cook.

Secretary Rubio, did you direct Netanyahu to surge aid and baby formula to Gaza? Because families are desperate and photo ops to do not save lives. Entire families are being murdered and babies are being starved. My colleagues and I are appealing to you — act NOW.
This ruling affirms what we’ve known: Trump’s attempt to fire Governor Lisa Cook is unlawful. The courts must preserve the Fed’s independence & rein in Trump's brazen power grab. I look forward to Governor Cook participating in tomorrow’s Fed meeting.
A divided federal appeals court ruled Federal Reserve governor Lisa Cook can keep her job. The Trump administration was expected to quickly appeal the decision to the Supreme Court.
It has been 40 days since @oversightdemocrats.house.gov successfully subpoenaed Trump's DOJ to release the Epstein files. Two weeks ago, we heard harrowing accounts from the survivors who have been denied justice for decades. Survivors deserve truth, healing, & accountability. Release the files.
My demand to Chairman Powell is clear: the Federal Reserve must take action to uphold its mandate of maximum employment for ALL workers. And he MUST affirm the Fed’s independence, including from unlawful firings like that of Lisa Cook.
Rep. Ayanna Pressley Affirms Importance of DEI to U.S. Economy, Sounds Alarm on Black Women’s Unemployment
Congratulations to my dedicated Comms Director Ricardo for being named one of the 2025 ALX100 by We Are ALX! This recognition celebrates Latino American leaders, risk-takers, disruptors, & advocates shaping the future of Massachusetts.

This ruling makes clear: Trump’s decision to terminate TPS for over 1 million Haitians & Venezuelans living in the U.S. is unlawful. This is a testament to the power of litigation & the impact of our immigrant communities. And we won't stop fighting for our immigrant neighbors.
No child should shake in their sleep as bombs erupt overhead or plead through a camera lens to die with their parents so they won’t be left alone. More than 20,00 children have been killed.   The U.S. has manufactured & delivered weapons that rain down on civilians in Gaza.
TY to the incredible Muslim women staffers for having me at your Hijab on the Hill event earlier this year. It was a joy to celebrate your leadership, brilliance, & the space you create, unapologetically, every day. We’re grateful for your talent & service to our communities.

Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion matter and strengthen our economy. But Trump's mass federal layoffs and anti-DEI policies have caused Black women's unemployment to spike — a devastating warning of where our economy is headed. That's why I'm demanding the Fed address this crisis.
It’s back-to-school shopping season and many families won't be able to afford school supplies for their kids, which are already more expensive this year under Trump’s tariffs. He's coming after everyone & everything BUT the cost of living, and our families are footing the bill.
The Trump Administration is quietly killing DACA. ICE has been kidnapping folks like Xóchitl Santiago despite her valid DACA status. Like so many of our Dreamers, she has dedicated her entire life to improving her community, and her home is here. Free her NOW.
Catalina "Xóchitl" Santiago is a farmworker, DACA recipient, & beloved community organizer who helped undocumented immigrants get drivers licenses in Massachusetts. She was unlawfully detained while boarding a flight for work & is being targeted for deportation.
