The Israeli government is deliberately blocking aid from entering Gaza.
This is nothing short of a genocide, creating a man-made famine crisis to starve children and families. The US must use every tool available to urgently get critical aid into Gaza.
90 years ago today, Social Security became the law of the land.
9 decades later, and Republicans are cutting benefits, raising the retirement age, & handing seniors hard-earned money to Wall Street.
Our elders deserve to retire in dignity & receive their earnings in full.
Republicans had an opportunity to help working families and disrupt intergenerational poverty.
Instead, they created Trump accounts for the rich to get richer.
If they truly cared about our babies, they would support our Baby Bonds bill.
It is the responsibility of the Smithsonian museums to ensure a full, accurate, and resonant telling of our shared American history.
Trump has no right to censor, whitewash, or replace it with false narratives forged with white supremacist ideology.

DWC Reproductive Health Care Task Force Co-Chair & Liaison @pressley.house.gov is calling for a hearing with other @oversightdemocrats.house.gov so survivors abused by Epstein can share their truth.
The American public deserves to hear it and these survivors deserve justice.

Abortion care is health care. The EACH Act would ensure everyone — no matter their income, insurance, or zip code —can get the care they need. We are proud to support this bold legislation for abortion justice. Thank you @pressley.house.gov and @duckworth.senate.gov for leading the way.

Thank you @pressley.house.gov for bringing attention to DHS’s abusive DNA collection program in Congress this week. The public deserves transparency about how federal immigration enforcement handles people’s sensitive genetic material.

"Healing, transparency, accountability for these survivors is important, and they deserve it, and it is long overdue." Rep. Ayanna Pressley tells Jen Psaki she is "already in touch" with Maria Farmer about coming to the House Oversight Committee with her testimony.
I'm relieved and grateful she and a few other children from Gaza have made it to Boston but thousands have been denied the life saving care they need. The genocide and suffering must end NOW.
Welcome to the Massachusetts 7th Rahaf. You are loved and welcome here.
Rahaf was evacuated from Gaza after suffering burns and shrapnel wounds from an Israeli airstrike.

DC is a vibrant, historically Black community of residents who elected their own local leadership to guide their city.
While Trump is using the military to sow fear and chaos in our communities, I stand with the residents of DC.

Rather than being met with the compassion he deserves, ICE has ripped him from his home, his loved ones, and inflicted more trauma in our communities.
I stand with Paul’s family, friends, & entire #MA7 in demanding his release & putting an end to these shameful ICE detentions.
Paul Dama's detention is devastating & unnecessary, and his absence is already felt in the #MA7.
Whether welcoming neighbors to Suya Joint or helping folks with developmental disabilities lead healthy, dignified lives, his contributions to our community are immensely meaningful.
Good.
Like we said before: We cannot let the fragile ego of the twice-impeached occupant of the White House get in the way of the full, accurate telling of American history.
NEXT WEEK: Join Councilor @lizbreadon.bsky.social and members of my staff for our next community office hours in Brighton on Wednesday 8/13.
Learn about constituent services available to you and your loved ones.

It was a privilege joining @pressley.house.gov, @repmcgovern.bsky.social, and @projectbread.org for an event highlighting food insecurity in Massachusetts amid cuts to federal food assistance programs.

Survivors of Epstein and his accomplices have waited too long for justice. Their voices deserve to be heard in their words and on their terms.
That’s why I joined @pressley.house.gov and our @oversightdemocrats.house.gov colleagues to demand a hearing that centers them first and foremost.
It's shameful that Trump would put union-busting over the hard-working VA staff & veterans they serve.
Terminating collectively bargained contracts is part of this administration’s assault on our dedicated public servants.
They must immediately reverse course.

Thank you to @pressley.house.gov for the chance to speak about her call for this hearing for the Epstein survivors and why she has long prioritized giving survivors a platform to be heard
