The Israeli government is deliberately blocking aid from entering Gaza. This is nothing short of a genocide, creating a man-made famine crisis to starve children and families. The US must use every tool available to urgently get critical aid into Gaza.

90 years ago today, Social Security became the law of the land. 9 decades later, and Republicans are cutting benefits, raising the retirement age, & handing seniors hard-earned money to Wall Street. Our elders deserve to retire in dignity & receive their earnings in full.
It is the responsibility of the Smithsonian museums to ensure a full, accurate, and resonant telling of our shared American history. Trump has no right to censor, whitewash, or replace it with false narratives forged with white supremacist ideology. My full statement:
A graphic that reads:

“It is the impartial role and responsibility of the Smithsonian museums to ensure a full, accurate, and resonant telling of American history – and Trump has no right to censor our history, ignore the systemic oppression of marginalized people, and attack our intellectual freedom.

“Much like his disgraceful rollbacks of diversity, equity, and inclusion programs and his campaign to ban books, this action is yet another attempt to whitewash our shared history and replace the challenges and triumphs of women, people of color, and Native Americans with false narratives forged with white supremacist ideology. (1/2)
A graphic that reads:

“Black History is American history, and no amount of white-washing or erasure will change the truth.

“There is no American history without the brilliance of every marginalized individual, the labor and talent of our enslaved Black ancestors, and the contributions of our Black and brown communities, LGBTQ+ individuals, Indigenous people, individuals with disabilities, and others.

“We refuse to allow Trump and Republicans’ narrow vision of what it means to be American rewrite our shared, truthful history.” (2/2)
Exclusive: The White House plans to conduct a far-reaching review of Smithsonian museum exhibitions, materials and operations ahead of America’s 250th anniversary to ensure the museums align with President Trump’s interpretation of American history.
DWC Reproductive Health Care Task Force Co-Chair & Liaison @pressley.house.gov is calling for a hearing with other @oversightdemocrats.house.gov so survivors abused by Epstein can share their truth. The American public deserves to hear it and these survivors deserve justice.
Abortion care is health care. The EACH Act would ensure everyone — no matter their income, insurance, or zip code —can get the care they need. We are proud to support this bold legislation for abortion justice. Thank you @pressley.house.gov and @duckworth.senate.gov for leading the way.
DC is a vibrant, historically Black community of residents who elected their own local leadership to guide their city. While Trump is using the military to sow fear and chaos in our communities, I stand with the residents of DC. #HandsOffDC
President Trump once again catapulted crime in D.C. into the national conversation. “It has become one of the most dangerous cities anywhere in the World,” he said in a Truth Social post. Local and federal data, though, paint a contrasting picture: wapo.st/3UnYDNd
Rather than being met with the compassion he deserves, ICE has ripped him from his home, his loved ones, and inflicted more trauma in our communities. I stand with Paul’s family, friends, & entire #MA7 in demanding his release & putting an end to these shameful ICE detentions.
Paul Dama's detention is devastating & unnecessary, and his absence is already felt in the #MA7. Whether welcoming neighbors to Suya Joint or helping folks with developmental disabilities lead healthy, dignified lives, his contributions to our community are immensely meaningful.
Rep. Ayanna Pressley poses for a photo with Paul Dama and his wife.
Paul Dama left Nigeria after being kidnapped in 2018. His detention by ICE now feels like “a second kidnapping." “I felt like someone just sucked my blood, my air. Like, how do you live?"
Good. Like we said before: We cannot let the fragile ego of the twice-impeached occupant of the White House get in the way of the full, accurate telling of American history.
Breaking news: The Smithsonian restored President Trump to an impeachment display in the National Museum of American History but made slight changes. The restoration comes after The Post reported that Trump had been removed from the exhibit’s temporary sign.
More from our recent event with @allaboveall.bsky.social, where we joined @pressley.house.gov, advocates, and experts to stand strong for the #EACHAct—a bold vision for universal abortion coverage. #AbortionRights #ReproductiveJustice

Survivors of Epstein and his accomplices have waited too long for justice. Their voices deserve to be heard in their words and on their terms. That’s why I joined @pressley.house.gov and our @oversightdemocrats.house.gov colleagues to demand a hearing that centers them first and foremost.
It's shameful that Trump would put union-busting over the hard-working VA staff & veterans they serve. Terminating collectively bargained contracts is part of this administration’s assault on our dedicated public servants. They must immediately reverse course.
ICYMI: The Department of Veterans Affairs announced Wednesday that it is terminating collective bargaining agreements with more than half a dozen unions that represent most of its more than 350,000 unionized employees.
