Republicans' budget plan is a shame & a sham.
How is it efficient to make people sicker, hungrier, poorer & more vulnerable?
How is it efficient to buy more toy rockets for Trump’s billionaire friends while parents can’t afford groceries?
I'm voting NO.

☎️ MA7th neighbors: Join us tonight for a telephone town hall to discuss the harmful Republican budget resolution on the House floor today and how we're pressing back against the cruel Musk-Trump agenda.
Join us at 7:00pm ET by dialing in at (855) 531-1062.
Republicans have never been interested in helping folks make ends meet.
They just want to enrich their billionaire donors by slashing life-saving programs like Medicaid, which 31% of Massachusetts residents depend on for healthcare.
The cruelty is the point.
This is a victory for our dedicated federal workers unlawfully fired by the Musk-Trump administration.
We'll continue to match their energy & use every tool available to fight for your livelihood and dignity.
Our workers deserve nothing less.
In response to our complaint filed along w/ Alden Law Group, the OSC recommends halting termination of probationary federal employees. The decision is now w/ MSPB who has the authority & precedent to approve the pause of terminations. In the absence of a decision, the pause will take effect on 2/27.
For Musk, Trump, & Republicans, it's never been about efficiency.
Because there's nothing "efficient" about gutting government services that families depend on.
It's always been about harming vulnerable people to pay for massive tax breaks for their billionaire friends.

I rallied with #MA7 federal workers to tell Elon & Trump:
Hands off our bodies.
Hands off our data.
Hands off our democracy.
Hands off our Constitution.
Hands off our federal jobs.
Trump’s attacks on DEI are anti-Blackness on steroids.
And we’re not backing down in our pursuit of reparatory justice.
My #HR40Reparations bill establishes a federal commission to develop reparations proposals for Black people harmed by slavery.

I Build. I Serve. I am.
YouthBuild Boston is the perfect example of how lives can be changed when we empower & support our young folks’ access to vocational industries.
They're able to foster teamwork, build community & successfully enter the workforce upon graduation.
Trump's shameful decision to end TPS for Haiti could be a death sentence for more than 500,000 Haitian nationals living in the US.
My full statement with the House Haiti Caucus.
Our federal workers here in Boston & across the country have been left out in the cold.
Overnight, they’ve had their livelihoods torn away.
Trump is proving he doesn’t care about our workers, but I will never stop fighting for you.

Louis DeJoy's incompetence & attacks on the USPS have harmed our postal workers & communities for far too long.
Good riddance.
We need a Postmaster General who believes in the USPS as a public good & is committed to delivering the service our constituents deserve.

🚨Musk & Trump continue to break the law & recklessly harm workers as they try to destroy the federal government.
Federal workers can report any wrongdoing by Trump, DOGE, or any admin official & be protected from whistleblower retaliation under US law.
If you're a federal worker, #KnowYourRights.
Trump and Republicans are continuing the years-long effort to attack civil rights & dismantle any policy that uplifts Black folks.
Our #HR40Reparations bill would push back and help America address the legacy of slavery and its shameful history of systemic racism.

Happy Presidents' Day!
Reminder that Presidents are elected to serve the PEOPLE — not unaccountable billionaires, corporations, or special interests.
They’re coming after funding.
They’re coming after education.
They’re coming after our data & payments.
They’re coming after workers that don’t comply.
Elon Musk and Donald Trump want to pillage our democracy to make themselves rich. But we won't let them.
Nearly 1.6 million Massachusetts residents use Medicaid.
Yet, Republicans want to gut the program & attack the Affordable Care Act so they can give trillions in tax breaks to their billionaire friends.
This is Trump’s Project 2025 in action.
More than 4 centuries ago, Africans were kidnapped, enslaved, trafficked, & forced to work through the violent institution of chattel slavery.
Our #HR40Reparations bill is an essential step toward repairing the harm of slavery in America and its aftermath.

Today, we remember the 17 lives stolen at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School.
We must treat gun violence as the public health crisis that it is and legislate to stop the cycle of violence.
I'm praying for the Parkland community and every family impacted by gun violence.

@pressley.house.gov : "This isn't about government government .. The CFPB are watchdogs fighting for the people. .. No wonder they want to gut it ... These men just want to pillage the government and make themselves rich."
