Here in Woonsocket to kickoff a project that will bring modern new spaces for job training, community meetings, public health screenings, & more to Cass Park. Projects like this are why I fight so hard to ensure Rhode Island has resources to address pressing community needs.
NEWS: My bill w/ Senator Hagerty to cut down on annoying spam calls, texts, & emails for homebuyers was signed into law today by the President. This data privacy win puts consumers back in the driver’s seat.
A Bipartisan Win for Consumers & Data Privacy: Congress passed my bill w/ Senator Hagerty to stop annoying spam calls for homebuyers. I urge the President to sign it into law.
Boys & Girls Clubs of Providence's Wanskuck Clubhouse is a cherished community institution that has served local students for nearly 100 years. Proud to team up with @whitehouse.senate.gov to deliver $2M fed earmark to help revitalize this facility for more kids now & in the future.
Another win for @universityofri.bsky.social! New, first-of-its-kind NIH award for students & professors at URI to bring cutting-edge, cross-disciplinary approach to biomedical research & help find new treatments & cures for diseases like Alzheimer’s & more.
The Federal Reserve is required to prioritize Americans’ economic well-being over the President’s political priorities. But Donald Trump wants a WH employee to serve as a mole on the Fed Board of Governors to advance his interests at the expense of yours.
BREAKING: Trump's Fed Nominee just confirmed to @reed.senate.gov that he will NOT resign from the White House while serving at the Fed. President Trump is trying to take over the Fed and install his lackeys. Trump's takeover would make life far more expensive for American families.
Treasures from history & amazing stories of the Greatest Generation are on display right on Main Street in Wakefield at the International Museum of World War II. Kudos on being named one of the top 10 WWII museums in the world by NatGeo!
Buyer’s remorse is real for Trump and DC Republicans – No rebrand will change the fact that the Republicans’ big bill rips health care & food assistance away from millions and explodes the national debt.
North Kingstown’s Jayram Suryanarayan is the first RIer to be named First Captain of West Point’s Corps of Cadets, a tremendous honor based on outstanding leadership, skill, & service to his fellow cadets. GO ARMY!
Pres. Trump’s anti-worker policies continue to hurt RIers. Cancelling this $11.25M federal grant for Port of Davisville will drive down efficiency, hold back growth, put even more local union workers in limbo, & make our port less secure. I’m fighting for RI workers.
Brought together RI health professionals, doctors, nurses, advocates, & providers to rally for Senate Dems plan to lower costs for care, reverse Trump-Republican health care cuts, & strengthen access to critical health care services for all Americans.
Growing up in Cranston, CLCF had a positive impact on me & countless neighbors. Great to see how this top-notch organization is growing & evolving as it continues serving the community & expanding opportunity.
Trump’s anti-vax HHS Sec. must stop spreading medical misinformation, hollowing out the CDC, & compromising the agency’s ability to protect public health. The Trump inflicted brain-drain at CDC puts public health at risk & undermines America’s public health response.
Stopped by Pascoag’s Bravo Brewing to hear how this veteran-owned small biz tapped into success after catastrophic flooding almost shuttered operations for good. Going ‘against the grain,’ Bravo pivoted to a brewpub biz model & adds delicious depth to RI’s craft beer landscape.
