On Block Island, sustainable & reliable access to clean water is essential for residents, businesses, public health & safety, & fire protection. Great to check in w/ Block Island Water Company to discuss ongoing projects to boost supply & reliability.
Here w/ Block Island Fire Chief Hobe to discuss efforts to boost public safety, improve services, & support the island’s volunteer firefighters. Proud to support critical federal resources for these dedicated firefighters.
Here in East Providence to kick off construction on a new community center where residents of all ages can come together to exercise, relax, gain new skills, & explore new passions. Proud to help deliver fed funds for this project w/ my colleagues in the delegation.
I support strong law enforcement in our communities and always will, but Trump’s National Guard deployment to DC and federalization of city police is misguided, unsupported by the facts, & could endanger your rights & civil liberties.
Proud to salute WWII veteran Richard Fazzio, 100, of Woonsocket with the Bob Dole WWII Leadership Award. Eighty years after D-Day, we remember the courage & valor of all who fought for freedom & democracy & helped liberate Europe.
Nearly 2 years into this war, Netanyahu's move to seize Gaza City risks worsening the humanitarian crisis, delaying hostage returns, and killing any chance of peace. Hamas is defeated militarily – now we need a ceasefire, diplomacy, and a two-state solution.
Broke ground on North Kingstown Food Pantry’s expansion to better serve RIers. With higher food costs & rising demand, grateful for work of NK Food Pantry & other non-profits helping to feed those in need.
Celebrating #NationalHealthCenterWeek w/ dedicated doctors, nurses, staff, & health care professionals of Rhode Island’s eight community health centers. Grateful for their tireless work connecting RIers with access to care and keeping RIers healthy & safe.
Sec. Kennedy’s move to bow down to anti-vaxxers & cancel $500 million in mRNA vaccine development funding is bad for public health, bad for science, & will stop U.S. researchers from making discoveries in the fight against cancer, respiratory illnesses, & much more.
A Bipartisan Win for Consumers & Data Privacy: Congress passed my bill w/ Senator Hagerty to stop annoying spam calls for homebuyers. I urge the President to sign it into law.
The world would be a very different place if brave young sailors like John DeLeo didn’t volunteer to serve during WWII. The Providence Journal’s Jack Perry offers a fitting tribute to a hometown hero: www.providencejournal.com/story/news/g...
The Trump Administration is making Rx drugs more expensive for seniors on Medicare Part D. Premiums are already expected to go up because of Trump-Republicans “Big Beautiful Bill.” Now, they’re adding even more to health care costs.
The Institute for Computational & Experimental Research in Mathematics at Brown University is a proven problem-solving powerhouse. New $16.5M fed grant will renew ICERM through 2030, continue attracting top-researchers to RI, boost economic development, and bolster American competitiveness.
Happy Birthday, U.S. Coast Guard! Grateful for the tremendous service of USCG & Coast Guard Reserve members who keep the Ocean State safe & are #AlwaysReady to defend and protect our nation. #CoastGuardDay
Trump’s petty move to shoot the messenger still doesn’t change his poor jobs record. It’s his bad policies & economic mismanagement that need modifying.
President Donald Trump on Friday fired the Bureau of Labor Statistics commissioner, hours after the agency reported that job growth in the U.S. had slowed to a near-halt.
